I work at a library where there is a lot of repetitive movements and took for granted how much I use my entire body with lifting, shelving, and pushing and pulling heavy carts with books. I am learning to slow down and take more care and time to nurture my body and Rehab Haven had a part in this wonderful realization. Good afternoon, i would like to tell you guys about Rehab Haven @ 237 Brooklyn Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11213. I've just completed 26 sessions with Dr. D the head therapist. I came to him with frozen shoulder syndrome, i couldn't lift my arm above my head nor could i scratch my back with my left arm, i was sure that i was headed for surgery. I saw the sign outside of his office and decided to give him a chance.It was the best decision that I've made in a long time. First I was impressed by his demeanor and the atmosphere of his office, very relaxed and serene.We discussed my situation, he assured me that he could help, We began my therapy immediately. He is very in tune with all modern physical therapy techniques and he devises a comprehensive routine that's tailored to each individual's specific needs. I did two sessions a week, mostly consecutive weeks but he was very flexible when i couldn't make it there. My routine got progressively harder, the stronger I became .Dr. D gives each patient his undivided attention and he never rushes you. You never feel like you're unimportant. His bedside manner reminds you of the days when doctor's made house visits. If you are looking for an Occupational Therapist, please give him a try. One last comment, the staff are remarkable and friendly. I just wanted you guys to know that I now have full use of my left shoulder and I can now scratch my own back. His office has been great about applying for more therapy visits, so that I have been able to continue my treatment and make a full recovery. You can tell he really cares about his patients. It’s amazing how he really tracks your progress and keeps adding new things to your therapy each visit to target more muscles and ligaments, strengthening all of the surrounding areas as well as the problem areas. Definitely the best OT experience I’ve been through (had a similar injury 8 years ago and that occupational therapist was not nearly as attentive). Highly recommend coming here to recover if you’ve got specific OT needs, Feler will make sure you get back to where you want to be.
