We were referred to J Singer and his law group when our business was facing crippling charges from Merchant Cash Advances (MCA). While I chose to work with him due to his reasonable fees and prompt response compared to the other people we reached out to, what we received was so much more. Experience, intelligence, education, support, straight answers, follow up, results, truth, responsiveness, honesty, fairness, but most of all compassion. I hired this firm because I was promised a smooth and efficient bankruptcy process. I fully understand that bankruptcy requires detailed documentation — credit history, bank statements, a means test, and other financial records. I provided everything requested promptly and completely.However, the process became extremely frustrating due to poor communication and repeated internal transfers of my case.After submitting all of my paperwork to the original attorney, I received a call from a second attorney stating he was now representing the first attorney. Without prior notice or explanation, I was asked to resubmit the same documentation and answer the same questions all over again.After weeks of silence, I was then contacted by a third attorney who stated he was representing the second attorney. Again, I was required to provide all documentation and repeat the same information. I was eventually told that cases are essentially transferred or “sold” between attorneys.While my case was ultimately completed, the lack of transparency, repeated document requests, and constant attorney changes made what was already a stressful situation far more difficult than necessary.Bankruptcy is stressful enough. Clients should not have to repeatedly resubmit paperwork or wonder who is actually handling their case.I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this firm ask upfront who will be directly responsible for their case and whether it will be transferred.

Jeb was wonderful to work with and did a great job for us against an unscrupulous MCA lender. The lender was very aggressive towards us, but Jeb countered them to the point they dismissed the case. The lender then filed the same case against us in Florida. Jeb had a colleague in the state that had the case dismissed within a few weeks. I would highly recommend him in a fight against an MCA lender.
