As BSN 2 – Group 1 from Exact Colleges of Asia, our two-week duty in the OPD at Holy Trinity Medical Center was an unforgettable and truly meaningful experience. During this time, we had the chance to apply what we learned in school to real patients, making our learning more practical and valuable. We assisted in performing ECG procedures, carefully placing electrodes and preparing the machine under supervision, and checked and recorded vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse rate, respiratory rate, and temperature of patients who came for check-ups.We also learned how to organize and manage patient records and document visits properly in the clinic log book. We assisted in preparing and administering antirabies vaccines, ensuring correct dosage and expiration while strictly following infection control and aseptic techniques. Each task taught us not only the technical skills of nursing but also the importance of patience, responsibility, and care for our patients. This experience helped us grow in confidence, teamwork, and professionalism. We are deeply grateful to our Clinical Instructor, Ma’am Rubilyn Maniego, for her guidance, patience, and encouragement, which made learning easier and inspiring. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve, learn, and gain valuable experience in the OPD, an experience we will carry with us as we continue our journey to becoming compassionate and competent nurses.
