The salted egg chicken with rice was absolutely delicious and I had to go back and try the salted egg chicken burger too. Fantastic food and always such a welcoming vibe. Can’t wait to try the drinks next.

Fantastic Singaporean food, absolutely top notch and authentic. The Hainanese chicken rice is fragrent with individual rice grains each coated in flavour. The chicken is tender and the skin/fat layer perfectly aspic like. Salted egg chicken is incredibly crispy and savoury. Highly recommend the whole menu but these two items in particular!

My girlfriend and I stopped in for the first time, I had the salted egg chicken and she had the laksa, we both loved our meals, with her stealing a couple pieces of my chicken !I’ve never had Singaporean food before but we will be going again as it was just so delicious !

I was previously one of those people afraid to try new foods, so when I saw “salted egg” I hesitated.. let me save you the trouble because when I tell you that was one of the best meals I’ve had in such a long time! It’s been over a week and I have not stopped thinking of this place since. The food was amazing, honestly blew me away! My husband is the adventurous one, so when he ordered us the eggplant.. I hesitated again, but I don’t think I’m exaggerating by saying I could’ve gotten a speeding ticket by how quickly I ate, not only all of my food, but my husband’s food as well. I will definitely be a frequent visitor here, not only for the incredible food, but the couple running this place were two of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Would strongly recommend a visit here!!

Had an excellent meal at Hawker Buns Singapore Burger Cafe in Bedford tonight! I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and am so happy I finally went. I had the salted egg chicken and rice meal and my partner had the nasi lemak burger, plus we both had a homemade lemon iced tea as well. No pics of the meals because we dove in before I remembered to take out my phone, but they were delicious with very generous portions and we both left with a takeout container of what we couldn’t finish. The rice was perfect and the salted egg chicken was perfectly fried in a really interesting, delicious sauce. My partner loved his burger as well, it was a really great combo of flavours that worked well together.The owner Sheila chatted with us and was incredibly personable from the moment we stepped inside. She explained the menu really well and I think she’d take great care of anyone nervous to order a new cuisine 🙂Parking out front was very easy, just note that the sign on top of the restaurant is incorrect so look for the window signs and easel sign by the road.Will be a returning customer 😊

Hidden gem! Loved the food, haven’t had something like that in a very long time. True Asian flavours. We tried the Hainese chicken and rice and egg chicken! Crispiest chicken ever!

We absolutely loved our dining experience at Hawker Buns! The food was amazing, especially the Singaporean Laksa and Teh Tarik, both tasted so authentic and comforting. It truly brought back wonderful memories of our time in Singapore. Every dish was flavorful and made with care.What made our visit even more special was meeting the owners. They were so warm and welcoming, and we enjoyed chatting and getting to know them. Hearing their stories about their humble beginnings added such a personal touch to the experience.We’ll definitely be back to try the other dishes!
