Let’s Stay Home is one of the more interesting furniture and home décor stores I’ve visited in Anchorage, especially if you’re looking for something with a little more personality than the standard big-box options.I stopped in while looking for a credenza for my office, and they had several pieces that immediately stood out. The selection feels much more curated than generic, with a good mix of modern, contemporary, and more artistic pieces. A number of the wood finishes, textures, and silhouettes felt unique enough that you could build a room around them rather than just fill a space. They also offer consignment pieces, which makes the inventory even more interesting because there’s always the possibility of finding something unique or unexpected mixed in with the newer furniture. The hospitality was also excellent. I was greeted right away, everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable, and they did a great job offering ideas without making the experience feel pushy. I was even offered a choice of drinks from their JURA coffee machine, which was a great little guest touchpoint. As a proud JURA owner and regular user myself, I definitely appreciated that detail. One credenza in particular really caught my attention. The dark wood, clean lines, subtle grain, and modern proportions were exactly the look I had been searching for. It was easily the strongest piece I had seen after checking a number of other options around Anchorage. Some of the furniture is definitely on the higher end, but not in the orbit of places like Nordic Spaces. Also, they don’t offer delivery, which is something to keep in mind when buying larger furniture here. They do have preferred vendors to close the gap on the delivery logistics.I really appreciated that the store actually had pieces with character. In Anchorage, it can be difficult to find furniture that feels modern and distinctive without immediately having to order something from the Lower 48 and hope it ships here.Let’s Stay Home has definitely set the benchmark for what I’m looking for. Even if you’re not ready to buy, it’s worth stopping in for inspiration and to see what they have on the floor.
