My son and I arrived at Michelle’s treatment room on Thursday. We were met with the most wonderful welcome and I instantly knew from Michelle’s demeanour that we were in the right place. My son has been dealing with massive panic attacks and anxiety for years, and I messaged her in absolute desperation whilst my son was literally breaking down in front of me. She replied that night, I was amazed, and felt like my prayers had been answered.Within seconds, and I mean seconds of his consultation she said he had been dealing with concussion for years! That the brain fog, forgetfulness, blinding panic, anxiety, gut problems, skin problems, and self medicating with drugs and drink were all because the amygdala, hippocampus, vagus nerve and glymphatic system were all unable to do their jobs succesfully. The amygdala controls fear, anxiety, emotional reactions, and survival behaviours. It also strongly influences sleep, hormones, appetite, and addiction patterns. The glymphatic system is the brain’s drainage and clean-up system. It clears metabolic waste, excess stress chemicals, and inflammatory by-products from brain tissue, especially during deep sleep. The amygdala is highly metabolically active. It produces a lot of chemical signals when you are stressed, frightened, or emotionally overwhelmed. For the amygdala to switch off and calm down, those chemicals must be cleared efficiently by the glymphatic system. When glymphatic flow is working well:• Stress hormones and inflammatory chemicals are cleared• The amygdala can return to a calm baseline• The nervous system switches out of survival modeWhen glymphatic flow is blocked:• Waste products build up around the amygdala• The amygdala stays irritated and overactive• The brain remains stuck in fear and threat detectionThis is why glymphatic blockage is often associated with:• Chronic anxiety and panic• PTSD and trauma responses• Hypervigilance and constant fear• ADHD-type symptoms• Insomnia and racing thoughts• Addictive coping behavioursThe amygdala cannot “think its way” out of fear. It calms only when the physical environment of the brain is safe and clear. If drainage is restricted, the amygdala behaves as if danger is ongoing, even when life is objectively safe.By improving glymphatic flow, pressure and inflammation reduce around the amygdala. As a result:• Fear responses soften• Emotional regulation improves• Sleep deepens• The nervous system feels safe againSo addressing glymphatic function is central to calming the amygdala and restoring balance to the brain and body. All this information made so much sense to me. It was ticking all of the boxes of what my poor son had been trying to live through. After the treatment, both my son and I hugged Michelle and got very emotional. She had already brought a huge part of my boy back. His eyes had changed, the perpetual fear had dissipated, and he seemed so much more relaxed.Just being in Michelle’s realm is calming, She is utterly incredible at what she does. She is our miracle worker. We have two more sessions to go and we both can’t wait.I have two other sons and they want to see her as do I.Thank you Michelle you are definitely our shining star. 🌟 🤗🥰😘😘
