Bill with Good Life deserves a great big, BRIGHT RED cape as he is now our super hero. He truly saved the day. Trigger warning: This may pull your heart strings. (I know it did mine). Our daughter’s friend, (the sweetest young lady) moved to Nebraska this fall to attend college. Her welcoming to our state was to discover her apartment had been rented out from underneath her. The job she had landed, was inconsistent with payroll and their interpretation of labor law, lacking. In the midst of looking for a new job (while starting the school year), the car that took a year of fast-food wages to buy for college, threw a rod in the engine and was pronounced DOA. Somewhere in there, we learned she had lost her health insurance and was self-paying for her healthcare. The big setback there is her care needs aren’t covered by a student plan. She’s a transplant recipient. Her life is dependent upon access to anti-rejection meds and a specialist to oversee her care. Look, I am horrible at algebra, but do know that the equation of part-time employee, full-time student and lifetime medical needs, do not compute. With her permission, I spoke with Bill at Good Life Insurance and set up an appointment to bring her in. At that meeting, Bill took the time to learn more about her and needs. He investigated all options until he found the absolute best one. This young lady went into that meeting overwhelmed by the world, and came out feeling so much relief and gratitude, that she was overcome with emotion. She can now just focus on her education. She no longer has to worry if she’ll have enough saved to get her medications this month. There is not a more perfect health insurance plan than the one Bill set her up with. It’s 100% affordable for her (and where she is in her young adult life), her life-preserving prescriptions are fully covered, and her out-of-pocket for a medical specialist’s oversight (plus a PCP) are more than reasonable. Any catastrophic/emergency medical needs are now in the “peace of mind” category. All because Bill took the time to find just what she needed and because he knows his stuff. Thank you, Bill. You are our super hero.
