My experience with Shona has been very meaningful. I originally came for physical support while dealing with a cracked rib, but what unfolded was so much more than that.I had been grieving the loss of my Dad, and carrying a lot emotionally which was very much linked with the lungs. The acupuncture and spinal energetic sessions became a way I could slow down, breathe and let go of what I’d been holding inside. It was a surprisingly moving experience and I genuinely felt like I was releasing layers of grief and trauma making me feel so much lighter.I love Shona’s holistic approach. Her ability to connect your minds state at one point and help with overall wellbeing is so beautiful. She has helped with how I approach family life, daily rhythms, relationships and making me consciously slow down and listen to my mind and body. Making me more aware and intentional about how we live day to day.I would wholeheartedly recommend Shona to anyone. For me, it has been so much more than acupuncture — it has been a really moving experience that has changed the way hold onto emotions and approach life.

I've been seeing Shona for almost 4 years. Shona is incredibly knowledgable with TCM and shares amazing insight and wisdom in her sessions. She has supported me with clearing blocks and getting on top of health issues that sometimes arise for me (more so with aches/pains or fatigue). I really believe in Traditional Chinese Medicine as I've seen how much my life has changed since integrating it into my lifestyle. Shona is also intuitive and it helps me be able to communicate what I'm feeling with ease so that she may treat me with accuracy. I highly recommend Shona, especially if you want to treat the root causes and not just symptoms. She's also funny, warm-hearted and so supportive and only wants the best for her clients.

Before working with Dr Shona, I was struggling to fully release emotions connected to both current happenings in my life and past experiences. Although I had mentally made peace with many things, the angst still felt held within my body, and certain situations would continue to trigger me. I had also absorbed energy from other people and felt unable to transmute or release it. I can't recommend Shona highly enough. She genuinely cares about her patients, and it shows in everything she does. When I was struggling with my medications last year, she was the only person who picked up on the real side effects I was experiencing. Something no one else had identified. That made an enormous difference to me.I'd had acupuncture many years ago from a different practitioner and didn't enjoy it, so I was a little hesitant at first. With Shona it's completely different. She puts you at ease, the sessions are gentle and relaxed, and the whole experience feels easy. Her knowledge of the Chinese art of acupuncture is excellent, and you feel like you're in genuinely capable hands.Beyond acupuncture, Shona also works as a wellness coach and NLP practitioner, and I've benefited from that side of her practice too. I decided it was finally time to accept parts of me that I had been deeply ashamed of since I was a little girl. Being a highly sensitive person, I was ‘taught’ to be ashamed of that. As a 62 year old, I needed to finally work on myself. I chose Shona as someone to talk to about it, not realising the acupuncture side of her consultation would also create a profound shift. My shame of being an ‘HSP’ seemed to just melt away.It then allowed the next part of me that I have been ashamed of to rise to the surface…that being never feeling good enough for people. Again, after some chats and acupuncture from Shona, I don’t even think about those feelings any more.
