Adam came by every day during the week to check on things and ensure we were happy with the progress. He also took the feedback of my ask of giving a plan for the day so we knew what to expect. Just before the start of the school year, the plaster-and-lath ceiling above the staircase landing in our hundred-year old house, collapsed after 10 pm at night! Our neighbor Adam, the owner, came over the next day to assess the situation, and he and his crew repaired the ceiling over the next 3 days. They took great care to minimize dust while they worked, as this area was centrally located in the house. There are very few contractors in our area working with plaster-and-lath, and By Hand Painting is one of the best, very responsive, reliable and tidy! We have worked with them previously on painting projects on our old house, and will definitely hire them again for any other plastering or painting projects, planned or emergency! Less
