When Storm Éowyn blew down a rather large ash tree, it left its sister leaning over my house and oil tank. To add to the problem, basal rot had eaten a huge hole in the trunk. This meant that a one-inch-thick semicircle of wood was all that was holding up several tonnes of timber.With another storm on its way this tree needed to be taken down quickly and safely.I called Tree Fellows. They were obviously very busy due to the storm, however Callum made time to come and inspect the problem. He agreed on the urgency of the situation, explained how he would like to tackle it and gave me a quote for considerably less than I was expecting.The next day Callum and his team arrived and began the precarious task of removing the ash, piece by piece and without a pick of damage to my property. This was no mean feat given the size, lean and weight of the tree.I can't thank Callum and his team enough for their sheer skill and professionalism. And also for fitting us in when they could have been doing easier, better paid work elsewhere. Less
