It's been a while since I've needed a visit, and this time I had the addition of a cupping treatment with Sierra in the physical therapy room; they have become a multi therapy office which I feel is crucial to proper healing. Still very friendly and super helpful assistance at the front desk checking my insurance benefits and I was even able to schedule my appointment by text, which is super convenient with my hectic schedule. The large practice is very clean and I love the fresh flowers in each room, and Dr DeButhune is very friendly and great at listening, adjusting, and giving advice on postural changes & stretching/workout techniques to focus on. When I first started at the practice I was in a lot of pain, with limited motion, and had a wide variety of issues diagnosed by Dr Brown. Through an extensive treatment of electrical stimulation, traction, adjustments between she & Dr Steve, and his excellent deep tissue work with advice on home stretching/exercises I was much improved; with the addition of Dr DeButhune’s advice on postural changes & his adjustments, I can gladly say my need for return visits is few and far between, however, when I do return I am still greeted & treated as if I was just there yesterday, like you were family. Yes, when I restarted Chiropractic care almost 4 years ago I happened upon Dr. Brown at an event. She took considerable care to do a quick assessment. I appreciated how it helped me on the spot. I started my journey with Brown Chiropractic. I can say I had never had a chiropractor do the testing or ask for X-rays. I feel this was great initial vital information. Through the years I feel I have improved, with bi weekly tune ups. Recently though with the shut down I went a longer stretch and ended up with an acutely painful shoulder injury and I could hardly use it. I finally got into Dr. Steve, masks and all. That first session, his manipulation intending to investigate, discover and relieve...left me literally in tears. I felt somewhat obligated to pull it together, so I said, “I am sorry I never cried on the table before.” In a way that only Dr. Steve can, he says, “Pain, lots of pain.“ I continued crying knowing that it wasn’t me, it was my acute condition. It felt better at the end and continued too. The next session was not nearly as painful. I also utilized a therapy for extra help with inflammation and healing. After the 3rd session in a week my condition completely healed. I thought recently likely I would still, over a month later be caught in the cycle of pain from an acute condition. So don’t be afraid of pain when you are in a professional’s hands. Sometimes pain is needed to set the right course toward healing! Less
