i’ll start by saying that in the past, we have not had the best experience with home renovations. No one likes to be disrupted, and there’s always going to be a hiccup here and there. However, after working with Resort Exteriors on this project of all new windows, siding, gutters, and facia, I can honestly say this was the best experience that we have ever had. We met with four or five different companies and ultimately went with Resort Exteriors because of the highly professional first meeting as well as the detailed estimate given. Some of the companies we met with spent over an hour with us and never even followed up with a quote, some companies we called didn’t show up at all, others were either priced way too high, and one came in so low and with such few details in the quote that there was no way we would go with them. From start to finish, working with Resort Exteriors and Freddy has been an excellent experience. The project did not go without a couple of hiccups here and there, but he handled everything so professionally and kept us well informed, he sent pictures of the work in progress and spent as much time as we needed for us to understand and review everything during the process from start to finish. We were always able to get in touch with Freddy if we had questions, or if we thought that something wasn’t up to our liking along the way, and felt confident in the work being done and the service we were getting. Early on when we couldn’t decide on a color, Freddy took a drive with us through the neighborhood and was even willing to knock on doors and ask neighbors what color or brand of siding they had on their homes. I wish I could really explain the level of comfort that he gave us throughout this process. He was incredibly professional yet so easy to work with. When the job was complete, we went through our home inside and out and created a punchlist of items that needed to be addtessed. Within days, Freddy had all of the corrections made, and even brought a representative from the window manufacturer to our home to take a look at one window that we felt was a little stiff when going up and down. I will start this review with the statement that I have over 50 years of experience in the DC area`s large commercial construction industry. I started as a carpenter and have worked my way to the top end of the industry at one of the Washington metropolitan area`s largest and best rated General Contracting firms. None of this was disclosed when reaching out to find a contractor to replace the roof on my mothers` house in the beach area near Millsboro Delaware. I went out to nine contractors. Four of these did not even respond. Of the five that did respond, I spoke with them, vetted the credentials and reputation of each, and weighed the estimate against the information gained. Out of the five I picked Resort Exteriors. Their estimate was in the Goldilocks zone of not the highest and not the lowest. The friendliness, professionalism and the degree of interest shown in the project by the salesman, Freddie Barnard, put this firm at the top of the list. I see Resort Exteriors LLC. as an established yet up and coming firm in the Delaware / Maryland and adjacent beach area. I was walked through each step of the roofing materials purchasing and process. I never felt unattended to and or pressured to commit in anyway. When it came time to perform the work the crew promptly showed up on the day and time when they were scheduled. The team removed items from around and protected the area around the house with tarps, set up safety materials and equipment for the house and the safety of their employees, and started the work. I was very impressed with the professionalism. I was also impressed to see the salesman, Freddie, show up, see that everything got started, give guidance and check throughout the day that the install was going per plan. That is not a standard thing you would see from other company's sales staff. I took note of each step of the old roof removal and as the team installed the new roof system with all of the correct components that make up a shingled roof system. I was impressed with the professionalism, the speed, the efficiency and precision of the installation of the new roof which was wrapped up in just one day.If you are in need of a new roof or a roof replacement, I definitely recommend giving Resort Exteriors LLC. a call.Richard A.
