Pedros is the best!!! the guys in there are friendly and i loved my haircut for the first time.... and oh no cuts on my neck like the one i got from DINOS barber.... the only reason i didn't give 5 stars is because the interaction between the barber i had was awkward and he wouldn't talk....But definitely will be going back soon!... He is a hard worker and treats his customers well. I rarely have to remind him how I like my hair cut. He takes his time, but not too much time, to carefully get my hair the way I like it. People always wonder how much dough I burn to get my hair the way it is but the only secret is Pedro's skills. He sells a water soluble gel for a great price, less than $10 for a big portion. It holds well and isn't greasy or flakey. I'd give 5 stars only if all the other barbers had his skills and if I didn't have to pay for parking. You have to pay at metered parking since all the other shops own the parking spots. Less

I've read the other two reviews, and I concur that you do indeed get a quite decent haircut for my first visit to Pedro's. I'd give the guy 5 stars if it weren't for his not cutting the sides quite as short as I asked for (and I didn't ask for another pass arouid the ears, which is my own fault); but considering the jungle of hair I came in with, what he did was major surgery. Besides, I'm a hard grader, and to me a 5-star barber is one who is not only a flawless barber, but also whose cuts take 20 years off my age, and who also also sings barbershop-quartet music while cutting myr hair. This barber at Pedro's (Eric, finished barber school 1-1/2 yr. ago) gets 4-1/2 stars from me, but I don't see any way to award half-stars on this website, and I'd like to leave some room for top grades. Eric did very well on my haircut -- and at no extra charge, this friendly young fellow neatly trimmed and outlined my sideburns with a blade, and blended them seamlessly to my full beard; shaved the hair right next to the ears, thinned out my eyebrows; removed my considerable "nose bridge" hair between the eyebrows; and did a pecuniectomy (removal of money) on my wallet that was quite painless at $10 plus tip for a standard cut. Well, that's the price for us seniors; the rest of you have to pony up another buck. Eric frequently held up a hand mirror for me to check on progress. When we finished and I was leaving, Eric was observant and kind enough to remind me that I had forgotten to take my coat. Senior moment -- and my thanks to Eric. You're getting close to 5 stars. As did another reviewer, I plan to check out each barber in this shop on future visits (may take well over a year at my rate) -- even the vaunted Pedro himself who was out of the shop when I arrived. They must be doing something right at Pedro's, because they've been in business at that same place for several decades. Last item -- I don't entirely agree with the reviewer who felt that the shop itself was rather tawdry and outdated. Yes, it's nothing like a stylish hair salon, but it's clean, it's well-equipped, it's spacious, and it has a big variety of while-you-wait magazines which I never got to look at because Eric took me into his chair right away.. And, of course, the haircut I got was very decent -- which after all is what I came in for in the first place. I'm fully satisfied. Go there, and ask for Eric.. Less

I followed up my first and only visit to Pedro's Barber Shop with a visit to Rite Aid where I purchased a pair of Wahl clippers to cut my hair down to a no-clip length.I cannot speak for any barber other than the one who cut my hair. I do not know his name but this description should help save any yelpers some time, trouble and anger.Young early 20's barber with curly medium length (think permed) hair and stretched ears. You will catch him doing weird breathing rituals if you watch him cut hair long enough.Either way he did an OK and by ok I mean barely acceptable job tapering my head by when it came time for lining up the front.... I almost wanted to punch him in the face once the mirror was passed over. I have a very full head of hair, no weird hairline no previous bad barber mess to clean up. And he butchered my hairline pushing it back at least 1/4 inch!!!!!!! He also totally screwed the sides of the front of my head using a straight razor to edge them up? AVOID THIS GUY AT ALL COSTS. I've been back since ... And had my hair cut by some of the other barbers. None match Pedro's skill set. But they give decent haircuts. The shop is another story ... It has seen better days.
