I'm not normally someone who is comfortable in front of camera (or anything), but put on my brave girl pants to work with Jason on some images for my creative projects. It was an extraordinary afternoon where I learned a lot about myself in a very personalised, curated, creative experience - it's one I would highly recommend to anyone seeking the best quality images that are both real and imaginative.Jason asked me three things... "I’m looking for brutal honesty here".• What part did you love?I loved most being a part of a creative process, and to see and understand and experience how the shoots are put together.• What part did you hate?Predictably, I don’t like being the centre of attention, but the shoot is a necessary step in a much bigger process which is my highest motivation. Also, I don’t like that I cry so readily; my emotions really do overwhelm me at times. Thank goodness the makeup artist had a ready supply of Kleenex (and mascara).• What part surprised you?I loved seeing the images come to life (or rather life come into the images). Especially the “art shots” with the military skew. This was incredibly special (to me) and I really appreciate the extra effort and time that went into creating those moments. As Jason said, this is a legacy project.Thanks, Jason, Jana and team. You did awesome work.

Working with Jason was an incredible experience from start to finish.The sessions and chats we had beforehand were incredibly valuable. Jason asked thoughtful, insightful questions that helped me get really clear on my brand, my positioning and the messages I wanted the images to communicate. I came into the process with some ideas, but he helped me articulate what I was really trying to say and create.On the day of the shoot, Jason created such a safe, energising and creative space. I didn’t really know what to expect, but he has an incredible ability to see beyond what you think you’re capable of and draw something more out of you. He took me places I genuinely didn’t think I would go and made the whole experience feel fun, natural and empowering.He also has an incredible team around him, and the entire process felt considered, professional and incredibly well supported.I’m so grateful for the experience, if you’re looking for a photographer who can do much more than simply take beautiful photos, someone who can help you uncover and express the essence of your brand, I couldn’t recommend Jason more highly. Working with Jason was such a pleasure, and so much fun. He is so talented and makes you feel so comfortable to be yourself - which is hard for me to do in front of a camera normally. He also LOVES his craft and this is wonderful to be part of - always trying to find that sometimes illusive shot, no matter how tricky that may be. A very clever person who goes to great lengths to do his best for you!

I genuinely dread having my photo taken, so I went into this session expecting to feel awkward the whole time, but Jason completely changed that. He was so thoughtful and encouraging throughout, and somehow made me feel comfortable in front of the camera, which I did not think was possible.What surprised me most was how relaxed I actually felt by the end, Jason gently guiding me and putting me at ease.The images themselves are honestly beautiful, I love every single one, which has genuinely never happened with photos of myself before. If you're someone who hates having your photo taken like me, Jason is exactly who you need. Can't recommend Superpower Portraits enough.
