⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Both of my girls have been dancing at KICO for the last three years, and watching how much they have grown in that time, not only as dancers, but in confidence, has been so special to watch. One of the biggest positives for me has been seeing the confidence grow in one of my daughters, who is naturally extremely shy and quiet. She’s gone from keeping to herself to socialising and building friendships within the studio. She’s gone from being nervous on stage to getting up there with confidence, joining troupe and competing. Something I honestly never thought she would have the confidence to do. Both of their skills, technique and tricks have come such a long way, and they continue to grow and challenge themselves all the time.. I genuinely believe the support, encouragement and opportunities they’ve both received at KICO have played such a big part in that. Most importantly as a mum, both of my girls are happy there. They feel safe, comfortable and supported, and I have always felt completely comfortable leaving them in the care of the studio. They’ve built beautiful friendships and have teachers who know them, encourage them and genuinely want to see them succeed. My daughter has been dancing with KICO for almost 4 years and it is her second family. Kirra and Chloe lead the studio with kindness at the core of everything. 🚨 PARENTS — READ THIS BEFORE ENROLLING YOUR CHILDREN After five years at KICO, we have withdrawn our daughters due to serious concerns about child safety, privacy, communication and the treatment of our family. Our most serious concern has been dressing-room and backstage boundaries, including a male student being permitted in a dressing area while young girls were changing without our knowledge. Our daughter was extremely distressed by what happened. We repeatedly asked what safeguarding policies and procedures were in place and did not receive the reassurance or clarity we expected. We also raised concerns about backstage access, supervision, adult screening, bullying and exclusion, and felt these concerns were repeatedly dismissed or inadequately addressed. The hardest part? Watching our children become anxious about an environment they once loved—and seeing our five-year-old ignored by the owner at a dance event. After five years of loyalty, we never expected to walk away feeling this disappointed. Parents should never have to fight to get clear answers about their child's safety. Before enrolling your child, we strongly recommend asking KICO for clear answers about child safeguarding, dressing-room rules, backstage access, adult screening, supervision and how complaints are handled. For our family, the decision is simple: Our children's safety, privacy, dignity and wellbeing come first. Every single time.
