I recently had the privilege of completing an intensive ADOS-2 and ADI-R combined training with Autism Services Group, and it was an incredibly valuable professional experience. This was an excellent training session and one of the most engaging autism courses I’ve attended. The content was evidence-based, well structured, and delivered in a way that was both informative and practical.The focus on the female presentation of autism was particularly valuable. The training explored the nuances of masking, camouflaging, internalised presentations, sensory experiences, and the impact these can have on recognition and diagnosis. It challenged common misconceptions while providing clinically relevant examples that I can immediately apply within my own practice.The trainers were knowledgeable, approachable, and encouraged discussion throughout, creating a supportive learning environment. The pace was just right, with a good balance between theory, research, and real-world clinical application.Thank you to everyone involved it was brilliant, as always. I would highly recommend this training to any professional working with autistic individuals. Each module built on the previous one, allowing me to develop my knowledge and confidence gradually without feeling overwhelmed.One of the most valuable aspects of the training was hearing the lived experiences of neurodivergent individuals and the perspectives of parents of neurodivergent children and young people. These personal accounts added depth and context to the learning, helping me gain a greater understanding of the real-world impact of neurodevelopmental differences and the importance of conducting assessments with empathy, curiosity, and a person-centred approach.As an ADHD Specialist Nurse, I was particularly looking for training that would support my transition into autism assessment and understanding. I chose Autism Services Group for combined ADHD and Autism assessments through Jude Morrow. From my first point of contact with Jude right through to receiving a diagnosis for both ADHD and Autism I felt understood, comfortable and well informed. My assessments were undertaken by Collen and Ciara who were both incredibly lovely, understanding and relatable. The process was very well paced and I would highly recommend Autism Services Group for assessments or support.
