I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to Joe and Kaitlyn for the doors they have opened up for my dog Solana.Little recap: Solana is a rescue from the streets of PR that I adopted back in May 2022. I received her already extremely reactive to dogs (lunging, barking, pterodactyl screaming, pulling, etc). I took her to obedience training for a long time, hoping that would help. It didn't. I sent her to a board & train hoping that would help. It didn't. I continued to practice obedience and just pull her along when we passed a dog ultimately accepting my and her fate: I would always have a dog that would go insane when she sees another dog, I would not ever be able to do anything outside with her if it meant other dogs were around, and that my poor dog would never be able to just "be a dog" outside and would always need to be kept on a tight leash.LDC came highly recommended by a friend and so said F it, let's go for a consult. Joe is THE nicest, humblest, and understanding dog trainer. He listened to my concerns and said yeah she's gonna be a tough one but hey I love a challenge. I was so nervous bc I had already done a B&T in the past and it was a complete waste of money. I told Joe and Kaitlyn (sorry for the pressure) that if this didn't work, I would just call it quits cause honestly I had already spent so much money on Solana's training and after almost 5 years, she was still the same. So, again I said F it and took a chance cause the vibes were right and I just had a gut feeling telling me to do it. I signed Solana up for a 4 week B&T that turned into 5 weeks and when I got her back, I just was completely speechless. People who have a reactive dog will understand, the victorious feeling of having your dog be able to walk past a dog without flipping out is absolutely insane. I can FINALLY take my dog out to places and be able to have the tools and knowledge of what she needs to counter her reactivity.Joe and Kaitlyn never tried to fit her into a mold that other trainers have tried to put her into. They kept her accountable but still allowed her to be a dog and work through her reactivity. They figured out her little enigma of a mind and cracked it.I cannot recommend LDC enough and if you're thinking about, just do it. You will not regret it.
