Rohn was extremely knowledgeable about the dogs and sledding. As well he should be because he races and has participated in the Iditarod. We were able to interact with some of his dogs and got to cuddle with a couple of the puppies. I would highly recommend this activity. He also took the time to dress up one of the dogs as if he was getting ready to go racing.

My five year old granddaughter absolutely loved the dogs running around and petting the puppies was her wish come true. Rohn taught us a lot. We especially liked learning about harnessing and dressing the dog for the sled.

We had the pleasure of meeting Rohn and going on a small group kennel tour and dog walk last week. Rohn took the time to answer all of our questions (even going over our time slot) and his passion for dog sledding and his dogs really showed through! We got to walk along a trail with 8 dogs, watching them run around and enjoy being dogs before Rohn showed us his sled and how the dogs get outfitted for the cold. We also got to see some photos taken during his many competitions. We really felt it was a great investment of our time and money and came away with a greater appreciation of the sport, how the sport originated and how it has changed. We also had the chance to meet some roughly three week old puppies which is always a highlight!In short, if you are looking to meet some real sled dogs, a genuine and passionate Iditarod competitor and learn about the sport, look no further!

We had an amazing time with Rhon and Joshua and the dogs! The sled tour was great, and we loved spending time with the dogs. Our guides were very knowledgeable and the care that they have for the dogs and for dog mushing was clear Such a unique experience, highly recommend!

Absolutely unforgettable experience with Susitna Dog Sledding! 🐾❄️This was hands down the best money I spent on my Alaska trip. From start to finish, everything was incredible. They were very accomodating when we asked to do the experience earlier because our Denali flight was cancelled. The lady on the phone and her husband Rohn were so welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do—and especially about their dogs. You can tell the dogs are genuinely excited to run!The sled ride itself was breathtaking. The scenery was straight out of a postcard, and gliding through the snowy trails with such powerful, beautiful dogs was something I’ll never forget. It felt peaceful, thrilling, and magical all at once.If you’re anywhere near Talkeetna, this is a MUST-do experience. I would 100% come back and recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Thank you for such an amazing memory! 💙
