We are in our third year of working with Bianca, and over that time I have seen a marked improvement in both the quality of my daughters written output and her awareness of how to make her work better. Bianca is very structured in her approach to brainstorming and developing ideas ans I see this reflected in how my daughter is thinking about ways she can organize and refine her writing to best convey her own ideas. For ongoing projects, Bianca helps my daughter to plan and keep to a time-line, however, if there is less school work, she is able to create activities that reinforce the objectives of the teachers. She communicates collegially with teachers and I receive a monthly report of tasks completed and ongoing goals. My daughters lessons with Bianca are online but this has not prevented them from forming a supportive and trusting relationship. When I decided to go back to study for a masters degree at university, I was feeling overwhelmed about writing in English. English is not my first language and even though I use English for work and for my day-to-day activities, writing academic papers is not the same. I met Bianca and she helped me to practice how to write academic papers, and she helped me review APA standards too. I like that Bianca not only helps me to understand grammar but also keeps me focused on my projects. I like when she helps me with my grammar because she understands Spanish grammar and points out mistakes that I make, because they are common errors when you speak this language and try to write in English.
