My son started at Athletic Preparation in late winter, hoping to build confidence, learn how to work out safely, and get stronger for football. Signing him up ended up being one of the best decisions we could have made. He began training at 13 and is now 14, and the growth we’ve seen, physically and emotionally, has been incredible. He went from feeling unsure of himself to showing up motivated, confident, and proud of what he was capable of. He trained through track season and summer, and when he showed up for 8th grade football conditioning, he was prepared. He came in stronger, faster, and ready to compete. Last year he was 2nd or 3rd string; this year he earned a starting spot on defense for the entire season and became one of the team’s key defensive players at middle linebacker. His hard work paid off in a big way. The physical gains were great, but the biggest change has been in his confidence and overall well-being. In a world where teens are constantly navigating social media, school pressures, and everything else thrown at them, seeing him mature, handle challenges better, and feel good about himself has been the real reward. I’m incredibly grateful for Josh and the entire Athletic Preparation team. They’ve created a space where kids feel supported, challenged, and welcomed. It’s an investment, but it’s one that reaches far beyond speed and strength, it’s been a positive shift in his life.We truly recommend Athletic Preparation.
