Tom and his team of engineers have done a superb job of installing fire doors within a large Victorian house in Clifton that had been converted into flats. The work has been sympathetic with the beautiful building to bring it up to current fire safety levels, and to the individual requirements of the flat owners. Everything has been done to an extremely high standard using high quality materials. Tom has communicated clearly, promptly and taken great care. We have all been delighted with the workmanship and recommend this company very highly.

After the yearly flat door inspection by the Management Company I needed someone to rectify the issues raised in the report by a specific deadline. Got in touch with Tom and within a couple of weeks we were able to get the job done. Scott was cheerful and professional, even though there were some unexpected issues, he found a solution and sorted it. Tom and the team recently worked on 5 of our church fire/escape doors. One of them was particularly tricky due to it's size, age and orientation, and took some problem solving to work out the best way to go about altering it while still mainitaining the original door. Other companies were reluectant to engage with this, but Tom spent time working out how it could be done, the results of which we are very plaesed with. I wanted a door to be flipped round to open into the hall instead of the kitchen but it was a fire door so my usual handi chippy wouldn't do it. Step in Tom from Bristol and West Fire Doors. Visiting to look at the job he calmly says the best thing is to take the frame out, flip that, then re-hang the door so the integrity of the intumescent strip remained intact. Theo came to do the job, very proficient which inspired great confidence. The result is you would never know the door hadn't always been this way round, even the surrounding wallpaper is undisturbed. I called Bristol & West Fire Doors at approximately 2pm on Wednesday afternoon needing an emergency call out as I had a fire door with a broken hinge and a broken locking mechanism. By 4pm I had a new hinge fitted and a new lock mechanism and the door was left working perfectly.I would 100% recommend to anyone - really reasonable rates and a polite and professional tradesman. Excellent job!
