Fit Body Transformation

I have spent many weeks, months and years saying to myself that I need to lose some weight and get fitter. I would look at myself in the mirror and hate what I was seeing. My Dad had suffered a heart attack at the age of 36, and died at 69, so I also had this in the back of my mind and was worried about my own health. I had never lost the weight from having my two girls (10 and 13) and over the years I had gained the odd few pounds here and there and of course Covid!! I never had time for myself, concentrating on raising my family which was the most important thing. I had tried loads of different diet plans and but would give up after a few months as I was not getting the results I wanted, and I just got bored. I hated going to the gym, as it was just not for me. Over the years I had lost a lot of confidence about myself, and I needed to get the old me back!
Many years ago, I did Boot Camp style training which I did love, so was looking for something the same which would give me a variety of exercise at each session. I had spent many nights on my phone trying to find something and eventually found Fit Body Transformation Studios. So, I put in a request for more information.
In April 2021 I joined, and I felt sick when I signed up for the 12-week small PT training. I thought to myself what the hell have I just signed up for, I won’t stick to this!! So, I went along to my first session, and loved it. Dave explained to me where I was going wrong with my food and explained what I needed to do to achieve the results I wanted. So, I started my new journey and followed the plan. I cut my food down, made healthier choices and drank a lot less alcohol and a lot more water!
The sessions are so much fun and all the ladies/gents that go are really friendly. We all try to push each other but have a giggle at the same time. We are all different shapes, sizes, and different fitness levels so you never feel self-conscious when you are there. Every session is different, which makes the session go really fast
In my first 12 weeks I had lost 1 ½ stone, body fat and centimetres off my body and gained muscle and I was so chuffed about. I was sleeping so much better and had loads more energy to do more exercise. I couldn’t run across the road when I first started or do a sit up!! Now there is no stopping me. I even did the St Giles Hospice Reindeer 6k run with other members of the group which was such an achievement for me, and fun too doing it with people you can have a laugh with and who support you.
I am now on another journey. I have lost in total 2 stone 2lb, which I still can’t believe I have achieved. Some weeks are hard, like Birthdays, Christmas or when your work colleagues bring in cake, or when your routine changes because its holiday or the kids are off school, but I have learnt to still eat a few naughty bits but I can still stay on track. Dave is always there to guide and gently push me in the right direction. You can send him a message when you need some help or realistic advice, and he will then ping you back a voice mail to motivate you or advice you if you are struggling. I feel so much better about myself now, especially in my clothes, and I have gained a lot more confidence too. I am so glad I joined Fit Body Transformation Studios. Its now part of my life, and my routine. I have made some really good friends. I’m so glad that I did it. If I can do it, anyone can.
