If you're on the fence about trainers, this is the place to go. I have a 16 month old border collie. I panic signed up for classes after a reactivity incident with him at the vet. I saw a huge improvement after his first class and I'm excited to keep going. Kris is very knowledgeable and he explains how to understand my dog very well. This is the first time in a while that training hasn't felt frustrating.

I can’t recommend Kris at Canine Moxy enough! We have two large rescue dogs with their quirks, and we wish we would have gone to Kris way sooner. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and works with each dog as an individual—really getting to know them, loving them, and helping us read their unique signals so we can work through and overcome barriers. This is the first time I have done any training for my dog, Oreo. Though this was only the first session, Kris was able to provide me with so much information and details about dog behavior that I never thought I needed to know. He was also very patient with Oreo. I will definitely be scheduling more sessions with him!

We had a puppy that Kris trained last year and whose follow up training we let go. So we were excited to see him in Buda and took her back for some refreshers. In only one visit, Kris had helped her (and us) remember all the important commands and the change in that one visit was HUGE! He and Canine Moxy will ALWAYS be #1 in our books.

My husband and I attended orientation and it was very informative. We recently went to our first group class this past weekend. Kris was so helpful and patient. He was great with our German shepherd, Raven. And we have been using what was taught to us at home and it’s really helping! We will continue going to class and I would recommend Canine Moxy for others who need some guidance on training their pups. This guy knows what he’s doing 👍

We HIGHLY recommend Kris at Canine Moxy to help with your dogs. It's been a little over 2 weeks since our session, and we've had no fights and very little aggressive behavior by our PlottHound/Pitt after using techniques and suggestions from our training session. The prong collar, with correct training, has been an essential part of Atlas' training and he has been most responsive. Once we get through our 6 weeks with the collar, we will be back in touch for more useful tips and tricks. Kris at Canine Moxy is amazing! We have a 4 yr old lab who we thought was beyond training, and Kris got him to respond immediately. Our lab is very reactive, jumps on visitors and pulls on the leash when walked. By the time Kris left our house, we had the tools we needed to see quick, positive results. Kris was patient with us and especially our dog who loved working with him. We highly recommend Canine Moxy!

I am amazed!! And I am grateful that I waited the long 5 years of Snickers’ reactive life!! Glad I had not tried any other dog trainer except Canine Moxy Kris!! I already look forward to walking “puppy” more and more and it’s only day 1 after her first class!! Even my 9 year old daughter has been applying what we learned at orientation for her cat! This was my second year doing snake avoidance training with my dog, Poppy, through Canine Moxy and once again it exceeded expectations. Kris Tait, the trainer was extremely knowledgeable and patient — he spent real time with both of us, helping me understand what was happening at every step. His approach with Poppy was calm, clear, and effective, and you could tell he genuinely cares about getting it right and keeping dogs safe.The course also included a thorough and eye-opening education session led by Brent Ormond of Snakes of Hays County, who is an expert on native Texas snakes and a seasoned snake wrangler. Brent broke down what we needed to know about venomous snakes in the area — how to identify them, where they tend to show up, how they behave, and what to watch for. It was direct, informative, and incredibly helpful. You can tell Brent knows his stuff and knows how to communicate it in a way that sticks.Brent and his team of trained, certified snake wranglers were on-site and actively working with live snakes while Kris focused on guiding the dogs. Everyone was professional and clearly experienced, and the safety measures in place were strong and reassuring.By the end of the session, I felt much more confident — both in Poppy’s ability to recognize and avoid snakes, and in my own understanding of how to keep her safe. If you live anywhere snakes might be an issue, this training is more than worth it. Clear instruction, expert knowledge, and a team that knows what they’re doing from start to finish.Highly recommended.

Kris is a true dog whisperer, he really understands your dog specific needs and behavior so that they are the perfect dog specifically for you and your lifestyle. Just after one single training our seven month old puppy is like a completely different dog. Kris Tait is amazing trainer. I call him the dog whisperer. He has such an amazing animal magnetism animal seem to do very well with him. I would definitely recommend him to anybody who is having any difficulty from training your dog with hostility all the way to placing searching And being trained to avoid snakes.
