Not Phantom!Jamie answered my call and attended my treatment. She was a. So comforting and b. So helpful. They were able to book me in for a K9 inspection the following morning and proceed with treatment the day after. Not only that, they also sent me a step-by-step prep guide before both visits (i.e. what to clear away and how the space should look for inspection, and for treatment) and they had thought of everything. They also gave a contact to text if I had any questions throughout the process - the whole process being 48hrs since I placed the initial call. The inspector also informed me that tenants law dictates that it is the responsibility of your landlord to cover the cost of treatment, which I wasn’t aware of. Everyone involved made this difficult situation easier to deal with than I had ever imagined.Al and Jamie visited my home and were polite and swift. They were even able to move my appointment at the last minute to make it more convenient for me! Beyond that, they stock items necessary to ensure success in treatment (bed post traps and a zip mattress cover) which saved me sourcing and testing products alone.To round this off - here’s what you wanna know: it worked. First try. No bites or bugs in sight. Cannot thank these guys enough. They were there for me before and after, checking in on how I was doing and answering questions about when and where to move items in and out of the treatment area. Less

He came back with a colleague two weeks later to close up any potential entry points for rodents. Again, both were polite and were working away while we were doing our own work. I strongly recommend Phantom Pest Control for your extermination needs. We had a silverfish infestation caused by my parents hoarding their home. I called 5 companies and found Al and Myka to be the best - they were knowledgeable, responded quickly and thoroughly to my email questions, and were kind and respectful re: the hoarding. Their professionalism carried on to treatment day: they called to let me know when they were on the way, arrived within the appointment time window, and finished the job quickly. The silverfish are dying as I type this and I am very happy with how extermination day went. In addition, Al and Myka left us with instructions on how to reduce the risk of the silverfish coming back and let us know they are available to answer questions - so they also provide good aftercare. The hoarding and the age of my parent's house made it a difficult and stressful situation - a situation that could have set us up to be taken advantage of. In fact, after being told of our problems, one company said that it would be impossible to control the silverfish, that we could only maintain lower levels of silverfish, and that we needed to commit to regular appointments. Contrast that with Phantom Pest Control - even after learning of the challenges they told me that their goal is one treatment. I hope we don't have pest issues in the future, but if we do, I'll use Phantom Pest Control again. Less

I found this business online and I contacted them. On their website, they state that they provide a free quote. When I spoke to them, they said they charge between $350-450 for a house. I explained that we only need to focus on a certain part of the home so Al said that they can provide a discount after seeing the place. So I booked an appointment. He asked me to provide my address and information via text so I did. I then wanted to confirm what was mentioned in the conversation to make sure that we didn't have any surprises. So he said that it is usually between $350-450 and will provide a discount if applicable.. He mentioned that there is a 90 day guarantee if we follow all the recommendations. But during our conversation, he mentioned that they seal entry points so I had to confirm what they do and don't do. So he explained that they will seal small entry points but not those "outside their scope". Then he goes onto say that given they haven't done an inspection, they won't know for sure as to what is required. He said that inspections cost $75 which will be waived if we choose to use their services. So I mentioned that on his website that it says free quote. He said that's what he provided on the phone. So I told him that he provided me a general range but he hasn't seen the property. To that, he responds with the assumption that their services won't fit my needs. I then respond by telling him that I still want to move forward with the appointment and that I just wanted to clarify the details so there were no surprises. His response to that was "we've decided that this job is not right fit for us." This is a business that cannot answer simple questions by a customer. I wasn't being difficult. I was looking for information as I found them online. The fact that they didn't want to answer questions and pushed my business away leads me to believe that this is a sketchy business. I normally don't do reviews but felt this one had to be done as they pride themselves on a 5 star rating. It's important to see who they really are. Book with them if you like to be surprised and okay with vague information. I explained on the call that the issue was in the crawl space and the basement. They were able to provide their service at that time but when I asked for clarification, they felt that they no longer could. They don't like to be question. I have also included our text message exchange. I honestly have nothing to hide. I am truly disappointed and I am making sure others know what they are getting into as most people find them online so need to have some idea of who they are and what they will do. I think I was being reasonable with my questions. I was not being rude. This company is not trustworthy. Only companies that have something to hide are afraid of questions. I asked simple straight-forward questions which is clear in our text exchange. I'm actually thankful that they declined their "service". I was able to get better service with 3 month guarantee for $220. He is a licensed professional and he came right away. He put lots of traps, poison, sealed entry points. No fuss and happy to serve his customers. I am sure there a lot of great options. You can get great service and price at the same time. So my advice is to those looking for pest control specialists, look around. I called many companies and I was quoted $250. No ranges or anything. I am a person that likes to know what will be expected. So having a price helps. So lots of people within the lower Mainland that can do a home for $250 in 2021. They offer the same services and guarantee. So shop around. They are all local, small businesses. Less
