She helped me get insurance for my brother-in-law and then when he later died, she was so compassionate and got the estate an immediate refund. The worst experience I have ever had with an insurance agent. I was an out of work veteran with PTSD trying to keep my head above water after moving to Florida and having my car insurance go up 400% with a perfect driving record. When the first cycle was up I explained to this agent I could no longer afford this insurance. She stated that she would look into another policy with another company... More

The worst experience I have ever had with an insurance agent. I was an out of work veteran with PTSD trying to keep my head above water after moving to Florida and having my car insurance go up 400% with a perfect driving record. When the first cycle was up I explained to this agent I could no longer afford this insurance. She stated that she would look into another policy with another company other than Farmers. She never lifted a finger and let the policy auto renew. My fault for allowing this. The next enrollment I sent her the same email and at this point I was getting close to being destitute. She again assured me she would look into another policy that would be more affordable and never did a thing. I sent a very clear email stating I wouldn't be paying another penny and would find my own insurance. I found another policy with State Farm that was much more affordable. Instead of cancelling the policy with Farmers after my instructions she allowed the policy to renew. Luckily the card being used was maxed out or they would have charged me. When I realized a month later they renewed the policy I contacted by Angelina and Farmers and explained that I made it very clear I wasn't continuing with their insurance. They then demanded that I show them proof I had insurance with another company in order to not try to hold me accountable for the extra month of coverage I didn't ask for, didn't authorize and which was initiated in defiance of my wishes. I asked both her and Farmers to provide me with a reference to a law that requires my providing this information to them. To date nobody has provided that information. I will not provide it out of principle. Angelina then sent me another email asking when the backdate the cancellation of the policy. I told her to the date it ended. She then responded to confirming the date the additional month I didn't ask for ended. I have never dealt with such unprofessional and petty childish conduct from a "professional". I will not pay the extra month. She and Farmers then sent it to a collection agency which is fine. When it hits my credit report I will take this to court. This is an unethical person. I wouldn't do business with her or Farmers again if they were the last people on the planet writing policies. I am in the process of filing a formal complaint against her license and filing a complaint with the insurance commissioner against her and Farmers. These people are bullies. It's bad enough they exploit and take advantage of veterans but then to play such childish games and engage in such unethical business practices. It's truly remarkable. Less
