The salesman was excellent and had me convinced from the moment we spoke. They took a down payment of $6,000 and assured me that delivery and installation would occur within six weeks. This timeline was agreeable; however, after six weeks had passed, I reached out to inquire about the status. The woman who answered my call merely said, "We'll call you when they arrive," showing no effort to check on my order. After waiting an additional week—now over seven weeks since my deposit—I emailed and called again. The woman whom answered then mentioned that a manager would reach out to me. When the manager called, he informed me that M&M Garage Doors had collected my money but never actually placed the order with the manufacturer. He then indicated that it would take another six weeks for the doors to be made. Ultimately, it took four months for the entirety of this situation to resolve, with no apology or discount offered for the inconvenience. I am certain there are more reliable and professional companies out there that can fulfill their promises. I deeply regret choosing M&M Garage Doors. Even though they showed no concern with their mistake on not ordering my doors for an extra 7 weeks, the company still had their marketing department call me and request to take photos of my new garage doors for future advertising. He explained that it really wasn’t my fault that the gear broke and that is probably the most common call they get. I thought for sure he was going to come today and say “Yep, it’s broken and can’t be fixed and I can come back next week and install a new one once we get one shipped to us.” Nope, he had multiple different garage door openers right on his truck! I was so happy! It’s a total pain not being able to easily get in and out of your garage. He showed me my options on his table with the prices right there including installation. I picked the one I wanted. He had everything done in 2.5 hours! The new opener is fantastic! It’s soooo quiet and smooth. It has the MyQ feature already installed and it has an in garage camera! The light on this opener is fantastic as well! It’s nice and bright and the in garage button has a sensor on it that automatically turns the light on! I can’t wait to play around with the MyQ app. Our garage door is almost 20 years old and has definitely seen better days. I was talking to Mike about it and he had catalogs with him too! I’m happy to have them because when we’re ready to replace our garage door, I know we’re calling M&M Garage Doors and that they will have the door I want and have experience installing the doors from the manufacturer. Although everything was clear from 10' of garage door back, my daughter was sick and her car was in the way and that did cause some initial panic by the installer and I also did not know that virtually everything should be moved out of garage prior to arrival (and not just the stuff directly behind garage door). Karsin was pleasant and a hard worker. He replaced two broken springs, oiled all hinges and rollers and adjusted the door opener. We were so happy that we could get the door fixed so quickly and the communication from M&M was great. He listened to my concerns, evaluated the door and opener, then gave me options to choose from for replacement. He showed me the door lubrication maintenance and how to do it myself. He also replaced rollers on our other door, too. He helped me get everything set up quickly! He also provided an emailed estimate for our other 11 yr old opener if/when it decides to go out. M&M provides text reminders/updates, including the name and a photo of the technician who is on the way. I really appreciated that. While no one enjoys having to spend money on garage door openers, I'm glad that I have an opener now that can be repaired if needed in the future and that has a warranty.
