We have had our vehicles detailed here several times, and they have always done a good job. Unfortunately, this last experience completely changed our opinion.During the detail, they broke the cord to the camera we use to monitor our baby in the back seat. The USB connector snapped off from the cord. Accidents happen, so it wasn’t a huge deal at first. Randy, the owner, assured us he would make it right. He went on and on about how he always takes care of things when his business accidentally breaks something. However, once he realized the replacement camera cost around $70, his attitude seemed to change. He said he couldn’t tell from the pictures how it was broken or how it matched the Amazon listing. I literally had to circle the broken piece in the photo and send it to him, and he still insisted on coming to look at it himself. When he got here, he pulled out the exact broken USB piece and said he had found it in his garage. So he obviously knew they had broken it, yet he continued acting like we were making it up. He then tried to push the broken piece back into the cord. I told him that wouldn’t work because it was broken. He then tried inserting the broken USB connector into my truck’s USB port to see if it would work. Instead, it became lodged in the truck’s USB port, and I had to pull it out myself. He didn’t even attempt to remove it or apologize for getting it stuck. He said he would order a new cord. Later, he sent me a screenshot saying he could get one for free if I gave him all the camera information, but it would take about 15 days to arrive. Mind you, I have an infant in the back seat, and I rely on that camera every time I drive so I can see her.My husband called him and explained that we couldn’t reasonably wait over two weeks without the camera. At that point, Randy started claiming it was already broken before they had it.My husband then suggested a simple solution: Randy could order the free replacement cord through the manufacturer while also ordering a replacement camera from Amazon. Once the replacement cord arrived, we would give him the Amazon camera back so he could return it and get his money back. Randy agreed. The next day, I called and texted him multiple times with no response. He finally replied the following day, saying he wouldn’t order the replacement camera until the free cord had shipped. He completely went back on his word and, once again, made the situation harder on us while acting like we were the problem. At that point, I told him to forget it. It’s honestly unbelievable that someone who repeatedly says he “always makes things right” would refuse to spend $70 to replace something his business broke. We’ve been loyal customers for years and have recommended him to friends and family. He lost a loyal customer over $70.I cannot recommend this business. If they break something in your vehicle, don’t expect them to make it right. Instead, expect to spend your time proving what happened and dealing with unnecessary excuses for a mistake that wasn’t yours.
