For example, when Jorge came to create a template, we were given almost no information on what to expect... More

As first-time home builders acting as our own contractors, we rely heavily on clear and thorough communication. Unfortunately, Quality Granite failed us in this crucial area. From the start, they did not explain anything to us, which led to a series of frustrating and costly misunderstandings. For example, when Jorge came to create a template, we were given almost no information on what to expect. We weren't told that a deposit would be collected, nor were we informed that the sink needed to be on-site. We only knew the time he would arrive. Despite our efforts to ask questions, we received half-informative responses, which left us in the dark. The worst part was Jorge's incredibly rude attitude, treating us as if it was our fault for not knowing what he expected from us. A particularly frustrating incident occurred during the template process. Jorge showed us a crude mockup of our kitchen and we specified that we wanted a one-foot overhang on two sides of the island for barstools. He mentioned we’d need an anchor, which we agreed to. We assumed the mockup would be updated to reflect this, but when the quartz arrived, it only had the overhang on one side. This mistake, which could have been avoided with better communication, caused significant delays and additional costs. Quality Granite did agree to split the cost of a new slab, so I will give them that. The laborers were professional and did a great job, but Jorge and Janet desperately need training in customer service and communication. All in all, Quality Granite's poor communication and rude treatment turned our experience into a nightmare. The name "Quality" is entirely misleading based on our experience. We cannot recommend them to anyone who values clear communication and respectful treatment. Our Ratings out of 5 stars- Overall 2 Price 4 Craftsmanship 4 Communication 1 Less

Jorge also spent considerable time helping us pick out exactly the right material for the countertop at his shop in Salem. The sinks they provided were also exactly what we wanted and they were able to flawlessly drop in our induction and gas cooktops. We were just a little worried about that, but Jorge's team were super careful and real pro's! I should say that we did get some bids from other places but we couldn't find anyone that gave us the personal attention and quick turnaround that Jorge gave us, not to mention he was super competitive on price. When it came time for templating (measuring) and install, everyone was very respectful of our space. We had a minor issue with a wrong piece of backsplash being installed, but they were quick to respond and come fix their mistake at no cost to us. The quality is exactly what I hoped for at a price point hundreds (and in some cases, thousands) less than competitors. I have already recommended them to friends and neighbors looking to upgrade! One thing to note - the price of the project will change based on the level of stone chosen, the stone yard you get it from, and the total square footage. Less

Out of all the contractors we worked with during our remodel, Quality Granite was the best! Jorge was responsive to texts and phone calls and showed up when he said he would. We had one issue when they showed up for the install, the installers found that some of the granite had broken in transit. This was a huge blow since we had the kitchen all taken apart ready for the install. Here is where Quality Granite really showed how great of a company they are! They called us shortly after the installers went back to the office and told us they had located the "sister" slab to our granite (the next piece in line so they would be similar) and it was already being worked on getting it down to their shop. They told us they would get that slab to their shop and re cut the broken piece and that they would be back later that same day to install it no matter what. Sure enough around 4pm they showed up with the new piece ready to go and they installed all the new counter tops. They did an amazing job and even with having to re cut a new piece they fulfilled their end and finished the day they told us. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone, in fact I have family that will be contacting them soon to place their order. Less

On top of that, he offers very competitive prices and is willing to work with pretty much any kind of stone you’d like. And if that’s not enough to convince someone, he takes great pride in serving his customers even after fully paid. He’s willing to come and fix problems even if he’s not at fault. He just left my place at around midnight after successfully cutting the stone just a tiny bit so the cooktop could fit and pass inspection. The original problem was with the cabinets but that didn’t stop him from coming over and fix it very late at night after a hard work’s day. Did a great job with the granite cutting, managed to get my butterfly countertop out of one piece of granite, and it looks amazing! Affordable price as well. Just some info, if you’ve never done granite before (I hadn’t) - they don’t do plumbing, so you’ll need a plumber to reattach your faucets/sinks and garbage disposal.... More
