I found this location upon recommendation and it has been the best choice. They are so welcoming and they work so well with all ages! Their women's self defense class is so helpful and caters to helping women in defensive situations along with doing target exercises for female body strengthening, specifically core. Their teaching for kids is so good and they work with kids of all energy levels and the kids enjoy it so much! I highly recommend giving Chekmat a try. All individuals can benefit from learning these techniques and Mayko and Karen are the best teachers overall. Less

It is a very welcoming environment and technical, high level jiu jitsu instruction. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone in the Valley or travelling through. You won't regret it!
