Disappointed After Two Years of LoyaltyI’ve been taking my pet to WowPaws Vet (also called Dogtorcat) for over two years. I genuinely liked the vet herself and always appreciated how simple and convenient the clinic was—especially for quick services like nail trims. But that ease quietly disappeared. What used to be a walk-in nail trim suddenly became “appointment only” with zero communication. No email, no posted notice—nothing. I found out the hard way when I walked in last week and was told they “couldn’t do it.” It caught me completely off guard.the next day, I texted to see if I could just stop in while I was on that side of town. When I asked about a basic three-minute nail trim, I was met with cold, overly formal replies. They danced around the wording—saying things like they were “not denying service,” while also stating they couldn’t accommodate walk-ins anymore. For something that takes three minutes, that kind of response felt more like gaslighting than client care. We’ve done everything there over the years: vaccines, x-rays for injuries, multiple health certificates for travel…. I’ve waited hours for full appointments and never once complained. This time, during a hectic moving week, I just needed a small courtesy—and instead got policy lectures and passive tone.I went ahead and booked what I knew would be our final appointment (a nail trim they claimed to be “making space for”), and that visit confirmed it. The staff was unfriendly, the energy was cold, and it felt like they just wanted me out the door. This isn’t about a nail trim. It’s about tone, inconsistency, and poor communication. After years of loyalty and money spent, I expected basic warmth and flexibility. I’ll miss the lady vet—but the current “policy” mindset is no longer client-friendly enough for me. Dogtorcat lost a regular, and it didn’t seem to matter to them at all.
