I will give this review my full transparency and say it did have the check engine light come on 5 days after getting it.. I got the code for a O2 sensor & they got it taken care of, no problem. There is a new development to this story as of today.. I went to get it titled and registered, come to find out an emissions inspection wasn't done. Which has been an inconvenience.. I could speculate why I didn't receive it, but at this point it really doesn't matter. If you really just need a car in a pinch, and don't mind possibly jumping through a couple hoops to get there, I do suggest Indy Motorsports. I would just be a cautious buyer; make sure you get the safety and emissions (because st. Charles still requires both).. and definitely take the car back to them if you experience any issues in the first 30 days. I trust this car to last me 5+ years if I take good care of it. What he didnt tell us , it would be at our expense and a patch job , my sister in law paid 3,000 up front , had issues with the car with in 2 days and it had a break down , then took it back to be fixed agian. and it sat in his lot for almost 2 months to be fixed , then she just got the part and my brother fixed it ( he is a mechanic) and they ordered her a part for the wrong type of vehicle, 7 months later it is still breaking down for the same reason , my father in law hasn't been able to drive his suv in a while , my aunt had to threaten general attorney on him to get hers fixed , our friend. Hasn't been able to get his fixed ...the thing is. These are people who have no credit and are trying to get a leg up , so they have to deal with it , but if you buy a car from this snake , you will with out a doubt have issues and be back....SAVE YOUR SELF THE HEADACHE!!! Would not recommend one bit. Was screwed from the start, bought a 2003 Ford Explorer from him as to which he had told me had only 180,000 miles on it at the time but could not show me exact miles and online the miles were left blank. He didnt have a key for the vehicle to show me. He had stated it was just recently repossessed because the prior owner never made her payments on it. I finally was put in the car the next afternoon so he could get the car prepped, detailed, and inspected for me. I came back and he told me to wait about 2 more hours and the car would be ready because they were mid detail and it needed to go to the shop and get inspected. I come back 2 hours later to find the worker was still just sitting in the backseat vacuuming as he was doing the same thing 2 hours prior when I first arrived. Also the vehicle could not have been moved to get inspected because it was still blocked in by the same cars in the same spot. He had gave me the keys and paperwork and sent me on my way, the second I got in I put the key in for the first time I was able to and saw the vehicle had well over 230,000 miles and driving off realized the car would not catch gear between 20-30 mph. I mentioned this as soon as it was noticed and told him about it and how the engine light clicked on, on my drive home and the O/D off light was flashing and the ABS light would come on time to time. He had told me to just bring the car back in so they could look at it and find the problem. I brought it back and he told me he took it on a test drive and it was a little jumpy on the gear but it should be no cause for any major concern, he ran the engine light and it came back to be for the Pressure Control Solenoid to which he told me just drive on it for a little longer and he would have it flushed for me and see if that was the problem and that if not he would just put another used transmission in it for me. I drove on it for a few days and noticed the more I drove it the worse it would get and from that point forward it just got progressively worse. In the meantime I had an oil change done which was well overdue and in doing that was told by the workers that my other fluids and components were not in the best of shape. That night I had also realized the passenger brake light was out to which I also replaced. I had brought the Explorer back into Dan's and he sent me down the street to get the transmission flushed because of how much worse it got. The shop had advised against a flush because of the higher miles and If one had never been done it would only make things worse. We called Dan with the shop and Dan had stated he had no history on the vehicle to know if one was done even though he had told me he just recently got the car back from someone who fell behind on payments so from that moment forward I knew he was BS. The transmission never ended up getting flushed and they just stopped off the fluid. I was on my way to the DMV and noticed that the safety and emissions paper were never even gave to me and when I asked Dan about them he just flat out ignored me. So from that point forward the transmission and car in general had gotten worse, it had 3 decently newer tires but 1 almost looked like a racing slick tire because it was so smooth in the back which also had a slow leak that I had to consistently fill with air to prevent from flattening. I had to replace air filter which was almost black from how old it was, he stated to me on multiple occasions that my vehicle had all new parts installed before my purchase which was Suspension, tires, brakes and rotors, battery which were all completely false. Finally just last night I was driving down West Florissant and the transmission completely gave and was left revving and not moving in the middle of the road, we had to push it into Arbys because it just would simply not move. He towed my car and I went in today to talk to him about the whole situation about being just lied to and given the run around on things. I was then told I owe him $245 for the miles I put on and wear I apparently caused. Less

I bought a vehicle on October 5th and before giving him any money he wrote up a contract which we both signed listing what needed to be fixed first (check engine light, seats, top etc.) I stated I really wasn't sure about purchasing the vehicle because I wanted a black one he said he would paint it for $500 (which never happened). Dan kept telling me the car was already fixed on most of the issues throughout the next few weeks and kept playing games not giving me the car. He had me with tons of gas driving to his shop saying that he's going to give me the car then suddenly it wasn't there or a secretary took the keys or he was going to drop it off to me yet I had no answer. I finally spoke with one of his mechanics at his shop and he told me the vehicle had never been worked on and have been sitting there the entire time and Dan actually dropped off the keys when he told me the secretary had took them. After I found out he had been lying to me and it was already almost November I contacted my lawyer to create a new contact with one final attempt before taking him to court. He agreed to the terms of the new contract which was mostly just reinstating everything on the previous contract as well as new terms where he must communicate and be truthful and I must know where the car is and when it is being worked on and it must be done by a specific date. Of course it's later in November Dan brings me the car and work is still not completed. On top of that an additional piece of the car has been broken off and he pretended he didn't know what happened. I ended up with proof from Bommarito that he had broke the part off himself and requested for a quote over a week before he ever brought it to me. While waiting to take him to court I have had to pay hundreds of dollars out-of-pocket just to make the vehicle drivable. I am not the only person that he has done this to their tons of reviews about this place all over the Internet with similar experiences. Please do your research before getting near this place, just don't do it.
