(Update #5) May 06, 2026. Nobody ever told them to leave the premises, nor did anyone show any abusive verbal treatment. That's a LIE. When a customer ask why does the repair look so bad. Shawn Whalens response was that his Project Manager was "Young and Inexperienced" So, that makes it OK to do the repairs inadequately? (Update #4) As of my 65th Birthday today (May 02, 2026) My home has not been corrected. It has been left unfinished and abandoned by Whalen Exteriors. What is the next step? Court? Better Business Bureau? Reddit? Yelp? Facebook? X (formerly Twitter)? Discord? Obviously, Shawn Whalen's AI response is just automated AI response to mask the problem. Shawn Whalen has no intention of fulfilling any part of his artificial intelligence response. (Update #3) as of 04-01-2026, I spoke with Shawn Whalen on the phone 2 times. He hung up on me the 1st call and when I called back the 2nd time, he hung up on me again without resolving the problem. ( Shawn Whalen kept referring to me as DUDE) He said that he will not return to complete the repairs that were left unfinished. He also stated that he will no longer answer any of my phone calls. (Update#2) Unfortunately as of today's date 03-13-2026 I have decided to lower my Google review from Two Star down to One Star. Allow me to explain why. After my Google review several days ago, Whalen Exterior has responded to the Google review that I gave. The response was very well written, but each time that I reached out to the CEO Shawn Whalen, The company's response was deleted twice and reposted three times. Whalen Exteriors Stated "Quote" Our General Manager has already returned to correct subpar work and will continue overseeing the remaining repairs to ensure they meet our standards. We value your trust and will work to restore your confidence in Whalen Exteriors. Well, I have reached out to Shawn Whalen two times since thanking him for responding to my Google review and I stated "Please let me know when to expect you to return in order to correct the remaining issues and he has not responded to me at all. I'm now being Ghosted. Please read Whalen Exteriors response and study what is stated in Shawn's response.The original two Star Google review from several days ago was as follows. I am a real customer, my home is located in Lower Burrell, PA 15068. Whalen Exteriors performed a roof replacement, soffit and fascia, vinyl siding replacement, gutter and downspout replacement and replacement of exterior doors. Granted the home looks wonderful and the "subcontractor" crew was very polite and well mannered, but the factual problems that I experienced were due to the project managers performance on the job site. I am giving a two star Google review because the project supervisor didn't review the contract details carefully enough to know the complete scope of the work that was in the written agreement. This caused frustration to both the homeowner and the subcontractor crew. There was last minute panic and chaos to complete work that the project manager was not even aware of. The project manager argued with the homeowner until he was shown in fact the scope of work was included in the contract. Also, the quality of work from a different project manager was subpar, causing the owner and the general manager of Whalen Exteriors to come to the home to redo the work. Also, hundreds of sharp nails were all around my home. It took several days including hiring my grandchildren to help pick them up from the ground. Currently work is being performed and I have issues with the quality of work performed by the same project manger. I love the way my home looks, but I am still not confident in the skill levels of the project managers. Scheduled work days kept getting pushed forward as well on the most recent repairs. There are many other things that occurred during the completion of this project, but I don't feel the need to be so specific that it would cause additional arguments with employees at Whalen Exteriors. I just expected a higher level of work skill from this company.
