Kat groomed my husky, Nala, a few weeks ago and I kept meaning to leave a review! Nala is not a fan of grooming but Kat did an amazing job with her services and was kind and patient. The de-shedding treatment was incredible.I’m seeing so much less hair around my house, and Nala’s coat is still looking wonderful a few weeks later!

I love this place and the groomers. Jacqui does nail tips for both my cats as well as a host of other services. She keeps me apprised of when to pick them up. The cats look great and behave well for her, which is an incredible skill in itself.

I brought my cat here for grooming after doing it myself for a couple of years and everything went super smooth, from check-in to communication to finished product! I could tell my cat had a comfortable experience from his demeanor, which is incredibly important to me. He also looks super cute in his new lion cut! Prices are a bit high, but expected, when tax and tip is added but it’s worth it for all the additional services thrown in and the staff’s kind treatment

I have an anxious shih tzu that has always been difficult for grooming. Andy was able to work with him and did an amazing job. They were expedient and Jeff was in a great mood when I picked him up, instead of anxious and agitated like he normally is. I will be back to see Andy for sure!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!Whatever you do, do NOT let Andy groom your dogs!Last Friday, we brought our two dogs (a Poodle and a Maltipoo) to "As the Fur Flies" and provided precise instructions on how to groom each of them. Our Poodle had a beautiful, lush coat, and we emphasized not to shave him, especially not down to the skin. This was a direct instruction from our veterinarian due to an underlying health condition. We made sure everything was understood before we left.Only half an hour later, I received a text from Andy, the groomer, claiming she had already started shaving the dog because she "had no choice" due to mats and tangles-which was simply not true.After a vague and confusing explanation over the phone, we arrived 3.5 hours later to pick them up and were absolutely horrified. Our dog was shaved down to the skin for no justifiable reason, right before a major storm hit!When Andy brought the dog out, she was completely dismissive. She refused to listen to a single word from me or my husband, wouldn't let us speak, and walked back into the salon after less than a minute, leaving us standing there in total shock.We spoke to the person at the reception who admitted we were completely right. He even noted that, according to protocol, groomers are required to contact the owners before taking such drastic action! He apologized, but we are now left praying that no permanent health damage was caused to our dog.We left feeling disappointed, angry, and deeply hurt by the way our dog was treated. There is no chance in the world we will ever return to such an appalling place. Pet owners are the decision makers - not the groomers!

Ivy did a really wonderful job grooming my pup! $120 for full service groom with nail trim and teeth brush and it was done in 2 hours. His cut looks immaculate, staff was kind, the place was clean and calm, and again it was very quick. We got our moneys worth for sure - there are cheaper places but this is by far the best haircut he’s gotten in Austin. Will definitely be going back!

took my cat Klaus to see Jaclyn and get his first professional groom yesterday, and oh my gosh. What a great experience. As a crazy pet parent, I did immense research on the best cat groomer in Austin and found as the fur flies! Jaclyn sent me photos during the groom, which definitely made me feel very good and at peace during that hour. My cat Klaus is pretty shy and a very large cat so I was definitely nervous, but Jaclyn definitely knows what she’s doing! Highly recommend 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ He is SO soft and smells amazing. Def will be going back!

I thought this place would be cool and take my dog to get a wash and cut. I did everything they asked and I told them he's an older dog. They made it a big deal and were to scared to take him because of so stupid liability issue. I told them that my dog loves baths and likes to be pampered and he's used to it but that didn't fly. They were concerned about his health I wanted some kind of acknowledgment from the vet that he can get a bath and cut. To me that's the stupidest thing I ever heard. This dog is not a pet he is a service animal and I use him daily. What does sad thing to do to someone that has a disability. I would not recommend this place if you have a service animal or an older dog because they will not treat you right.
