I bought a home a few months ago and enlisted Chicagoland Home Inspectors for the inspection of the old Chicago bungalow that I now call home. Since it's an old house, I knew the inspection would be important and wanted a full report. Glen-Carl Dahlman was my inspector, and he did a very thorough job. He's also hilarious and was a joy to hang out with during the nearly 4 hours he spent looking things over. Spending a long time on the inspection is good!The scheduling process was smooth even over a holiday weekend, and we were able to get the inspection report back before the end of the 5-day attorney review period. On top of the normal inspection, I added a radon test, sewer scope, and mold test. It turned out that we couldn't do the sewer scope and mold test, and the inspector took those off the bill. We had a video call to review the final report.The inspection gave me the confidence to move forward with the purchase. The house definitely has issues like all old homes do, and the report is very helpful for prioritizing the never-ending to-do list.

Hands down Vince was the best inspector I’ve ever worked with. He was very through and explained any issues he found thoughtfully. Josh from Chicagoland Home Inspectors inspected our first home, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. He was incredibly friendly and didn’t mind us following him around and asking questions throughout the inspection.Whenever he found something important, he took the time to explain what it was, how serious it was, and what we could do to address it. As a Real Estate Broker for over 40 years I've attended Hundreds of Home Inpsections, so I know a good inspection vs just phoning it in. When my wife and I moved to Chicago from Florida I looked online for an inspection company and after doing my reasearch chose Chicagoland Home Inspectors. Vince did our house inspection and was extremely thorough. He spent 3+ hours on our ranch home, as opposed to the 1.5-2 hours most inspectors spend in a home and was very helpful in reviewing everything he found in the home. The home had solar panels and Charlie came out to do the solar inspection. Not only did he do the inspection on the panels, but expalined how they worked and what I should expect from them. I highly recommend Vince and Charlie and would definatley use them again.

Just completed my inspection with John Olson and had a great experience l. Very thorough inspection which included going into and walking the attic, function testing major appliances (furnace, AC, Washer/dryer etc), walking the roof and alot more. In addition, John encourage me to be present and follow him during the inspection to see everything he was seeing and provide and explanation on site. Thank you for a great inspection, money well spent.
