There are many other dance centres that have cameras inside the class that you can sit outside and see what your kid is doing. so I definitely don’t recommend this centre. Less

Or there are a lot of people leaving after term1. So that you prepare such a contract and hire the legal service to “ LOCK US” for one year. Now the business owner sent me an invoice for term 2 which I have neither enrolled my kid and not being the class at all. She hired a solicitor to keep disrupted me and force me to pay the invoice. I refused to pay due to 1. I have never enrolled my daughter on online class; 2. suspect their insurance not cover kids injury at home due to the remote coaching. 3. Extremely poor quality of online coaching from last few classes in term 1. 4. My daughter has never attended any of term 2 classes. 5. At the start of year 2020 (term 1), I have paid the dress fees and concert fees for the end of the year, they refused to give me refund. This school has a lot of hidden charges as well. They would charge you $20 to switch to class, even the class hasn’t start yet. They will charge parents for the end of year concert fees and dresses at term1. You have to pay dress fee twice…so on, which is far more advance than the event happens. And hope you forgot to notify them for the refund if you have other plan in the end of year. To choose the right, professional dance school and avoid to overcharge. Please choose the right school for your kids. I highly recommend the dancing school: Tanya Brooks Dance Academy, Jenny’s Dance Centre, Denise Utz School of Dance in the area…. But definitely not Edge Dance in MidWay Center Denistone. Less

For example, your kid is not attending the annual concert, they refused to give you a refund. Another issue is once you enrolled the kid to their class, your enrolment is assumed implicitly for the future term. They won’t contact you to verify whether your kid is continuing to in the next term and why they are absence in the new term. They will just incur the fees in your account and trace you for the payment in the end of the term. This could mean you will be charged till the fully exit with them, even you are not using their services, like the gym membership. It is very unusual practise in the child dancing school business. The business owner will threaten you with the legal action and nasty email, and get lawyer to harass you for one or two hundred dollars of “outstanding” even during the case with Fair trading process. Absolutely ridicules. Besides, I do not recommend their online dancing class, firstly you will be asked to sign the list of agreements for taking the responsibility of supervising your kids during the online session, and not responsible for whether the kids are learning properly with correct postures and movements. Overall, video streaming is poor quality through the computer laptop screen, I believe the teacher would fail to track the kids because most of computer’s standard camera is not wide angle. The online dancing session is slightly cheaper than those on site, but really not worth to risk your kid in injury if your home has not been setup as a dancing studio, and learning nothing even you need to put effort to supervise your kid. Highly suggest to read their fine printed lengthy terms and conditions before enrolling your kids to a course in this dancing school. Set your alarm to remind you about the continuation of next term and review of prepaid the fees of future events. Warning heaps of fees applied based on what you want to do with them, the charge of associated fees is not reasonable when comparing the actual advertised course fee. Well, it is doggy way to rip you off after become to their customer. Less

This is the most unprofessional organisation I have ever encountered. I warn all parents who are thinking of enrolling your child to carefully read the contract that they make you sign. My daughter felt that she was not getting any assistance from the dance teachers at all. The teachers appear to only provide assistance to their favourites in the class. This happened on more than one occasion despite us raising our concerns with the management where our plead for assistance were never acknowledged or responded to. It reach a stage where my daughter lost motivation in dance and didn't want to attend the classes. As a result we sent an email requesting cancellation of the class and stopped her attendance for the next term as we have already paid for the existing term. We thought that this was the end of it. To our surprise, the management didn't accept the email (but didn't notify us of their decision either) and sent me an invoice for the second term of dance, which my daughter didn't attend. The management advised that they only accept cancellation of classes via a cancellation form that we have to request from them (as per the contract). Otherwise they will assume that we are still enrolled and will continue to invoice us. We only found this out when we questioned the invoice as we had previously notified the management of our request for cancellation of classes. This is appalling service, or should I say a lack of service. They didn't even try to retain our custom by addressing our concerns in the first place. It appears that this organisation is out to scam people of their hard earned money and destroy children's dreams. A one star rating is too good for this place. If I could have given less I would have. Less
