We have been part of this fabulous dance school since our girls were very little. The Edge is a dance family. All of the teachers are genuinely passionate and dedicated to each class.We look forward to the concerts throughout the year, well worth all the effort it takes and costumes are adorable.In a world full of chaos, dance is a positive vibe we all need more of & Miss Nicky is the best at it! 😊

I struggled to decide on a rating. On one hand the teacher my daughter had - Miss Skye was absolutely amazing. She was great with the kids and had so much patience. She even gifted the kids a little Christmas gift which was appreciated. Renee is a receptionist/dance teacher at the studio and every time I went in to ask a question she seemed like I was bothering her and you could tell she wanted me out asap. So I was glad that she didn’t teach my daughter. Miss Nicky (owner) was extremely friendly and helpful with any emails/texts/pop ins. You can tell that she has a very strong work ethic and is always around to help out.The only real problem I have with this company is the cost. We paid $1600 for two terms (one class a week for 1 hour) this included the costume, dance shoes and attire needed for class as well as the class fees and concert fees and 5 photos. I think it was extremely overpriced. Every time you think you’re up to date with payment there’s something else needing to be purchased.It would be great if there was a better channel of communication between the dance families. Maybe a WhatsApp group or an avenue to exchange numbers? I had 0 communication with any parent and the emails that came from EDC themselves are extremely long to read to keep up to date with important things.The other smaller issue was the concert itself. It was on a school night 7-10pm. Extremely hard for a young child of 5-6 years old to stay up that late and then attend school the next morning. My child told me they had to be quiet and stay in the room for the entire three hours (apart from when out dancing on stage for 3 minutes). And she came out with her make up not reapplied and high waisted bottoms half way down her thighs. It was a huge shamozzle retrieving kids at the end of the concert as well. Also it was extremely unexpected watching the owner come out during the first act in a red sparkley number singing and dancing.Would we return? No. Did my daughter love dance? Yes. Therefore I’d rate EDC 2.5/5 stars.

Our daughter started in the Ready Set Dance program and now does a bunch of different styles including musical theatre and acrobatics. She absolutely loves it! The teachers are amazing! so warm, professional, caring and really know their stuff. The studio feels like a second home, so welcoming and supportive and we couldn’t be happier with it. Highly recommend!

Heartbroken by the Experience — Please Be CautiousI came in with hope and trust. The teachers were warm, kind, and genuinely lovely — they deserve better. But the way this business operates behind the scenes is deeply upsetting. I was promised the first class would be free. That promise was broken. They charged me without a word, and if I hadn’t noticed and chased it down myself, they would’ve kept the money without blinking.They rushed me through signing the terms and conditions, never mentioning the hidden cancellation fees buried in fine print. No reminders, no courtesy — just silence until it was too late and they could lock me into another four weeks of payments. It felt calculated. Cold.What hurts most is the feeling of being tricked. Not once did they act in good faith. They pushed for direct debit, knowing full well they’d take the money first and come up with excuses later. It’s not just disappointing — it’s heartbreaking to see such lovely teachers tied to such a manipulative system.Please, for your own peace of mind, look elsewhere. And if you absolutely must enrol, do not give them access to your bank account. Protect yourself. I wish someone had warned me.

While the dance teachers are warm and engaging, the business side of the studio is disappointing and overly focused on locking in payments.They offer casual classes ( paid per class and slightly higher fee) and no where on the website does it say there is a limit to casual class attendance ( unless less of course the class is full) In reality, unless the class is completely full, you're pressured to sign up for a full term — or made to feel like casual attendance isn't welcome.The terms and conditions are all in writing, but it's very easy to overlook the fine print. Once you're in, there's little flexibility, and the owner takes a hard line with payments — even if you've given notice or aren't continuing.My advice: read everything very carefully before signing up. What seems like a casual or trial-friendly setup quickly turns into a full financial commitment. A real shame.

My daughter has been dancing here for 4 years, and loves it! She's become much more confident and comfortable since dancing here and looks forward to every lesson.There are a variety of dance classes to choose from, and the teachers make sure that the dancers learn the foundations of dance, not just the moves. Nicky and he admin staff keep parents updated with every change, event, and when direct debits will be processed. There are no surprises, and all communication is very clear.The mid year (less formal) and end year (professional) concerts are a wonderful display of what the children have learnt throughout the year.I highly recommend EDC for anyone wanting their child to get more active and have fun!

They repeated the same few dances for 1 or 2 terms. At the beginning, my kid loved it. After a few weeks, it is struggling to even convince her to go into the classroom, so I had to stop. As a parent, you’re not allowed to see what they are doing in the class. You pay the money to see them perform in the concert, not only the tickets, the costumes, the socks, the hairpins, even the piece of paper has the list of the shows on it, you pay for them. The organizer even told you don’t have to take photos during the show, as they have professional photographers. Be careful, you need to pay for the “professional” photos!! I have to say, it is a very money oriented dance school!

I was looking for a dance school for my toddler that had multiple class options in our area rather than just early on a Monday morning and I came across The Edge Dance Centre. After joining away through the semester I was just hoping it would be another activity for her to have a bit of fun, but she absolutely loves the ready set ballet class and in the few lessons she's had has developed more than I could have imagined and the teachers and events that are held have been wonderful. Highly recommend if your little one is interested in learning to dance!

We’ve had a really positive experience at this dance school. Miss Nicky, the owner, is incredibly nice and approachable — she always reaches out to parents for feedback and really cares about each child’s experience. They were very accommodating when my son trialed Level 1 and found it wasn’t the right fit; they kindly let him try Level 2 instead. The teachers have been lovely as well. It’s a warm and supportive environment, and I truly appreciate how flexible and thoughtful the team is. Highly recommend!
