A Cartagena gem. Safe and secure, great food, and it essentially has a private beach which is great as there are no beach vendors that can become a nuisance. Interesting place.... I did like it. But they need to tweak a few things. Wristbands, come on guys. They were the hard/sharp plastic ones. Hurt my GF twice, had to tear it off.Music they play is lounge groove, I thought very good. Loud, but sometimes loud was fun. But it's loud to 10pm when hardly anyone is by the pool. It was super loud at 9pm with 2 people by the pool. Read the room.Food was good, staff was really good!A few adjustments and they place is great! Menos

We grabbed a day pass for the two of us on a Thursday starting at 11am. The entire experience was perfect - it included great welcome cocktails (and the other cocktails on the menu are great), lunch (delicious - from a selection of 9 great options), the day bed, towel service, a fresh water shower, pool and ocean access, wonderful staff, and great music. No hassles, no hecklers, better than expected, no end time, and great views. The facilities are beautiful and clean. The beds are shadowed by an umbrella and have no sand - but the ocean is just a few feet down - they nailed it. Menos

Very pleased with the atmosphere and the accommodating staff. Stayed for about 6 hours at the beach club and had a great time. Drinks and food were both excellent and well worth the money. Paid about $300.000 COP for 8 cocktails and two appetizers.All the servers there seemed very happy to be working there and the energy was very positive. We arrived and the staff was very friendly. One we paid and received our pass, they escorted us to the lounge and pool. Julian was the best person to serve us. He knew exactly what we needed before we asked. The food was 5 star! The drinks were phenomenal! The ocean was beautiful and the club was very clean. We ate our lunch that was included poolside. We didn’t want to leave. The Dj was keeping the vibe strong. Eventually Alejandro came and helped us too. But Julian became family. Thank you Wala Beach Club for making this trip magical. Menos

If you’re looking for a beachfront accommodation, I highly recommend staying at Wala Beach Club in El Laguito. I have stayed there before, but I just stayed there again for two nights and I had such an amazing stay. The staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are sparkling clean. It’s very affordable at about $60-75 USD a night for a small double room. There are only about 10 rooms with different configurations. The room rate comes with access to the beach club, breakfast, and a welcome drink. The beach club, located at the back of the hotel, has a small pool, several beach beds, a restaurant area, bar, and stairs that lead directly into the ocean. There are no vendors except for the occasional man on a jet ski haha. Towels are provided. From 9 AM - 9 PM there is electronic music playing. There is a DJ every day of the week. Note that it is a beach club primarily, so people who are not hotel guests can pay to access the beach club. They allowed me to stay in the common areas after I checked out which was very convenient for me to work until my flight. They even offered breakfast in bed when it was raining since breakfast is usually served outside. 100% recommended! I will surely return even if it’s just for the day. Menos

Un hotel muy pequeño, pero justamente eso les permite dar un excelente servicio. Solo 9 habitaciones, camas muy grandes y cómodas. Un poco básicas pero con todo lo necesario. La comida del desayuno no es un 10 pero le doy un 8. Sin embargo el menú a la carta es delicioso, especialmente el pollo Chutney. El beach club cuesta para Los q no están hospedados allí, pero creo q vale la pena el pasada y porque la piscina es deli, el bar es rico (prueben el cocktail Wala) y el atardecer es ESPECTACULAR. Tienen hooka, q no es tan común en Cartagena así q es un plus. No tiene “playa” pero si tiene ingreso privado al mar. Es decir, no hay espacio de arena entre el club y el agua, por lo q las camas y sillones están dentro del club y saltas directo al agua. Se q hay gente q le parecerá extraño, pero para mi fue una de las mejores cosas porq no tenía que estar llena de arena y bañándome cada rato ni las manos llenas de arena a toda hora. Volvería? 100-% Lo recomiendo? 100% Menos

I can’t speak about this place highly enough. I came here in August of 2023 and have been back 4 times. It was my first trip to Colombia. I was a bit nervous about what I may experience but I quickly realized that this place is actually safer than 90% of Texas. Maybe more. There is a police station directly across the street and you have absolutely zero to worry about here. The rooms are great, the food is amazing, and the staff becomes your family on minute 1. Laying back overlooking the beach with a place that truly takes care of anything you wish is unbelievable. Need your laundry done? No problem. Craving French toast in bed? No problem! The other guests are easy to chat with and it’s pet friendly. If you’re nervous about venturing out to Cartagena Colombia, I get it. But after a day here you’ll understand. Nice place to stay, it’s not far from the historical center, it has a beautiful view from the sunset in the ocean. They have a DJ playing every day so you can enjoy amazing drinks while you’re sunbathing and chatting to people from all over the world. The beach doesn’t have the sand part, but you can go down and swim safely. Drinks are really good and it was one of the best places I been while in Cartagena Menos

Came here for a lazy day and this was one of the beach clubs that seemed relatively developed. You pay a cover fee for one cocktail, a main (out of five options) and a soft drink/water. The ambiance is promising but there’s still a lot of gaps - for example, the sun umbrellas don’t really protect you from the blazing heat and the DJ booth seemed to be being repaired while the DJ was spinning. Service is friendly and earnest which is nice. Menos

Der Beach Club ist angenehm leer am Nachmittag,es gibt einen kleinen Pool und einen sehr guten Eingang ins Meer - es ist perfekt! Ich komme morgen wieder . Got a day pass for the beach club. It was enjoyable. There wasn't much of a beach which was a let down but the cabanas were comfortable and the pool was small but nice. I got the burger with my day pass and it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The staff was really nice as well. Menos

Es posible estar en Cartagena, en boca grande, en el mar, tranquilo, seguro, sin que te molesten los vendedores, con poca gente a tu lado, con sillas de playa de lujo, nada de Rimax, con meseros que te atienden muy bien, con muy buena comida, con lo que quieras tomar. Sii, eso es lo que puedes vivir si decides irte para Wala Beach Club. Para que no te pierdas, es diagonal al CAI del Laguito. 2 propiedades antes de un edificio Palmetto qué hay en el sector. El hotel no es un edificio. Es una Casona divina colonial cartagenera de borde de mar. Son 7 habitaciones estándar mas 2 suites. La suite con balcón y vista al mar es soñada. Imagínate un hotel con tan pocos huéspedes. Vas a ver algunas personas pagando por estar durante el día pero el precio hará una selección por si mismo. El ambiente es puro juvenil y no familiar. Dj desde la 1 de la tarde, con comida a la cama de lujo de playa al igual que cócteles. Meseros muy bien dispuestos. Hay una piscina pequeña pero acorde a la cantidad de personas. El hotel tiene una particularidad que puedes ver en fotos. De la zona de la piscina caes directamente al mar, no hay playa. Realmente lo disfruté. Es como si el patio de la casa fuera las olas del mar. Volviendo a la habitación encuentras la suite del balcón con un espacio generoso para descansar, ventilador y aire acondicionado. Me queda la duda si se puede mejorar a un aire con más potencia. La cama muy bien amenizada con buena ropa y almohadas. La zona del vestier tiene un gran espacio para tu ropa. El baño es grande y te brinda si quieres agua caliente con ducha eléctrica. Es un baño lindo con buenos amenities, pero con la oportunidad de complementarlos. Las toallas podríamos recomendar que tengan un upgrade. Las sentimos desgastadas y débiles frente a las que dan en zona de piscina. Nada grave, pero notable. Felicitaciones a la gente del hotel. Menos
