A/C stopped working late last night.. based on previous help with Chiily Air and Robin.. I tried to fix myself first..no luck.. contacted Chilly Air and discussed my issue..I knew they would be busy because of this heat wave..but they got me on their schedule same day.. gave me updates when the tech was coming. Diagnosed and fixed and when I asked him if I needed a new system..he said mine was a good product and no reason to purchase a new one..refreshing these days.. this is my A/C company for good reasons.

Technician was quick to come out Thursday morning when our AC went out. Courteous and professional and very reasonably priced for a service call. The problem came with the time it took to get the estimate. Tech came Thursday morning and the quote wasn’t emailed until Sunday night. We were without AC and were able to find someone over the weekend to replace the compressor. The quote for the repair seemed reasonable, they just lost our business because it took too long. Need to get someone else to help with the quotes.

Need to give some context here. I reached out to one of the top HVAC services guys (as per Google) before Chilly Air for my A/C issue. They said the compressor needs to be replaced and gave me a quote of $13K+. Then I got Chilly Air's contact through a friend. It was the smoothest experience. They checked the outdoor condenser unit, identified it's the capacitor issue, fixed it and the AC was up and running in just about 30 mins. I had to spend only $280 bucks for the whole service. They were honest, quick and effective.

I cannot recommend Chilly Air Services highly enough. These folks are the real deal.We bought our home here in Round Rock a few years ago. The HVAC system was already about nine years old but running fine, so we kept it maintained with twice a year checkups through a company that had been recommended to us. We were very disappointed in that company, and I will not name them here, but they charged us nearly 400 dollars for a capacitor during one of those visits. That is basically a 20 dollar component/part.Recently, because of the age of our system, the coils started to rust and leak coolant. I reached out to Chilly Air on a Sunday. They called me back in under two hours and offered to come out and inspect the system right away. The leak was not severe, so instead of paying for an emergency call, I chose to have a technician come out the next day. He did a thorough inspection, found the problem, refilled our system with refrigerant, and then did something I really appreciated. He sent us three separate quotes. One just to repair the coils, one to repair the coils and upgrade the refrigerant, and a third for a full system replacement given the age of the unit. No pressure, just honest options laid out so we could decide for ourselves.We went with the full replacement. Chilly Air carries several brands, so it almost felt like we could pick exactly what we wanted going into our home. They had us on the schedule for the install within days. On install day the crew actually showed up a little early, and they worked hard in brutal conditions since our system sits in the attic. In the middle of a Texas summer that is no small thing. They did an incredible job, and we got what I believe was an extremely fair price.Then came the part that really won me over. When I asked to pay the install tech, he told me the company would not charge me until they sent out another technician to inspect the installation and confirm the system was operating properly. You only pay once they are satisfied everything is right. I have never had a company do that.From the first phone call to every email, I was communicating directly with the owners of the company. The communication was outstanding at every step, from the service tech to the install crew, and their response time during the busiest, hottest part of the year in Texas was unbelievable.Chilly Air is an old school, family owned and operated small business, and it shows. They treat their customers like family. If you need HVAC work done in the Round Rock area, this is the company to call.

We had an issue with our mini split in our server room and I called around saw the reviews on Google for you all. I left a message and was messaged back within an hour. We had an appt later the same afternoon. The unit stated it was a refrigerant leak and needed to come back so they can have a two man crew to find the leak. We were scheduled the next day. Upon our return, I noticed the room was not cooling properly. had small leak in ceiling near AC vent. Thought it might be AC related. Called this company, they sent a guy out and he just took a look and said it wasn't the AC. Charged $89. Get roof repairs done cause its' not the AC and have someone come out to redo the drywall. They say that the AC ducts are causing the water issue. Would have been nice to know that 8 days ago. now I have to scramble to get this fixed and get quotes and have tenants moving in a few days. Plus I had this company do annual service on my AC a couple months ago, and am questioning how well/if it was even done.
