My daughter has been in Mrs Brown’s writing class almost one year. She finally finds her way to learn writing! This is a systematic and well organized writing program. She follows instructions and reviews what she learns. Compared with all other writing classes she tired, she enjoys Mrs Brown’s most. Mrs Brown is professional teacher, always guiding kids in an appealing way. Although we are in different time zone, Mrs Brown is thoughtful and generous! She gives my daughter a suitable class time to learn and to rest! Thanks so much!

Mrs. Brown tutored my son through her online writing and grammar classes for 4 years and with her influence, he has not only grown tremendously as a writer but he has also won three writing contests and was selected for publication twice with IEW. She is a kind, encouraging, and effective educator who really connects with both the students and the parents, and she offers many resources and supplementary sessions for both, including regular parent meetings and weekly study halls, not only guide the students in their learning but also to help the parents with assisting in the process. We used IEW for 2 years before finding Mrs. Brown and it offers an excellent curriculum, but she makes the process come alive. We are sad to age out of her services but would strongly encourage anyone looking for writing development/assistance to consider her offerings. She is with her weight in gold. Mrs. Brown has been my writing teacher for the past 4 years and I have no clue where I would be without her. She is always encouraging and helpful, offering suggestions and support whenever you need it. Under her tutelage, my writing and the writing of many other children has flourished. She is hands down the best writing teacher!

Classes we’ve done with Mrs. Brown: SSS1B, SSS2B, Advanced US History, SSS1C, Intro to Public Speaking, Power Words self-paced. Mrs. Brown is enthusiastic, engaged and committed. She is passionate about the success of her students and students’ parents. I appreciate the way she is able to motivate my elementary and high school writers. She uses kahoot games and positive reinforcement to keep the students excited about each assignment. Mrs. Brown makes the process genuinely FUN!! The weekly live classes and the Power Words self-paced course allow me more time to teach other subjects. This takes a lot off my plate! This is our 4th year learning with Mrs. Brown and we are thrilled to say that our high school freshman is college writing ready! Thanks to the coaching and encouragement from Mrs. Brown, our son won $1,000 in a public speaking contest with the content taught in her class. He also has been published several times in various magazines. Our 3rd grade son grew leaps and bounds in his writing after just 3 weeks of the Power Words self paced course. Mrs. Brown is a writing whisperer. Seriously if you have a student that is a reluctant writer or budding writer, Mrs. Brown classes are a must. My son didn't like to write anything within 2 weeks of year one with Mrs. Brown he turned into a totally different student. Here we are in year two and he is burning through assignments and excited to go to class. Nothing gets in his way of Mrs. Brown's class, he takes his books and papers with him to homeschool co-op, while everyone else is at recess he is online in her class. The amount of love and support she gives her students is immeasurable. She wants them to succeed!! I highly recommend her classes!

Mrs. Brown is very energetic and enthusiastic! I learned a lot. Definitely worth the time. Not to spoil anything, but we played games in the beginning of class.

Mrs. Brown's 5.0 rating is well deserved. The level of support provided is like nothing I've ever experienced. She doesn't just support the student; she supports the parent's role as well. Between the weekly live class, Google Classroom environment, weekly study hall, and monthly parent huddles there are ample opportunities to receive additional support. I am truly blown away by how well organized and helpful she is. Worth every penny!

IEW has been an incredible writing program. After 4 years of curriculum our students are writing at a High School level. Writing assignments across all subject matter are completed with ease and scores on state and national testing reflect a mastery and confidence that is essential for 21st century learners.Of all the IEW teachers we have encountered, Mrs. Brown shines! We have always been unschoolers. This was my student's first class ever. Mrs. Brown is fantastic-- patient, professional, and knowledgeable. I have always been intrigued by the IEW writing process and with Mrs. Brown handling the week-to-week management of it, as a parent I couldn't ask for more. I am VERY satisfied with the amount of progress my student made in 1 semester. I am VERY satisfied with the amount of parental involvement, feedback, and general information Mrs. Brown provides the parents. Looking forward to starting semester 2 soon. This class will work best for a parent who wants to help your child at home for a couple hours a week but is seeking an IEW certified professional to guide you and grade/feedback your child's work in accordance with the IEW standards/curriculum.

Mrs Brown has been teaching my grade 7 daughter for the last 2 years the IEW program. She is by far the best English teacher she got. She teaches with so much entusiasm and so much knowledge and skills that my daughter now loves writing short stories all the time. It has become her favourite hobby and has shaped her as a confident writer.With such positive experience, I decided to reach out to Mrs Brown again to help my grade 12 son with his English assignments. Thanks to her guidance and valuable help, he finished with a 94 average which is an excellent mark in English and got him accepted into the best universities in Canada. We were so impressed with her patience and commitment!I can't say enough good things about Mrs Brown! I definitely highly recommend her. My middle school daughter just finished a full year of IEW (writing) with Mrs. Brown, and I have so much praise for her as a teacher and a person. She is so organized, thorough, knowledgeable, and also engaging and fun. She's great at communicating with parents. And I love that she has the kids share their favorite part of their writing (she will read it or they can if they want) so they feel really good about their new skills. Mrs. Brown is a treasure! She is an exceptional instructor - highly engaging, entertaining and professional. Her communication with learners and parents is exceptional. All four of my students were better writers for having been under her grace filled, sincere instruction. I was a better mama for bringing in the best resource. Working with her and utilizing the exceptional curriculum has always been a decision I would make on repeat.
