We are extremely happy with Karate America on San Jose! A huge thank you to Master Martinez and Mr. Franco for their knowledge, patience, and incredible ability to work with the kids. They provide such a positive example of discipline, respect, and confidence while still making classes fun and engaging.Our 9-year-old son switched from Tersak’s, and we have been very satisfied with the transition. He truly enjoys coming to class, and we can already see growth in both his confidence and discipline. We are also hoping to enroll our 5-year-old soon because of how welcoming and encouraging everyone has been.The atmosphere is always friendly, organized, and positive. The kids genuinely have fun while learning important life skills. We are also looking forward to summer camp again this year.We also had our son’s birthday party here, and it went more than smoothly. The staff did an amazing job organizing everything, and all of the kids had a great time. Highly recommend Karate America to any parent looking for a supportive and professional martial arts program for their children!

Love it here! My daughter is very shy and didn’t want to do any activities. Not even karate but tried it once and decided to sign up. She has been taking classes for 6 months now and is still shy but can see her coming out of her shell and she has always been putting her hard work in every class. I can see her improvement in every class. Master and Mrs. Martinez are also amazing, kind, professional and fun. They make sure everyone is included and forms are correct with ease.

This has been an amazing experience with my 6 yr. Old autistic grandson. One place he's treated the same and thrives! Accountability, self control and focus on strengths have been so helpful for him. We recently started karate classes and the instructors have been great! They hold my kids accountable if they’re not always participating and keep their attention throughout class. This is the first sport my kids have been really engaged in and we’re excited to continue learning!

Beware of the Prepayment SCAM!My son attended this location for many years, where I was offered discounts for prepayments on classes promising reimbursement if unused. Each prepayment agreement got longer and longer till I was conned into prepaying for 3 years. Halfway through, the Master left the state leaving my son in an undesirable situation. Shortly after, I received a call from the new “Master” running the same scam, trying to get more prepayments from me. I explained that my son was done, and we actually wanted the promised refund of the unused prepayment of 18 months. He said, “No problem” but I would have to go through headquarters. It took 7 months of me contacting them before I received a phone call back from Mr. Gimemez. He immediately stated that they didn’t give refunds and then LAUGHED at me! He then told me I got a great deal, and I shouldn’t be upset! The Google Reviews under headquarters are flooded with this scam. This location requested I not post my issue here since this is Headquarters decision not theirs. However, this location scammed me and took my money, Headquarters is only the Strong Man they are hiding behind. I never signed a contract, only trusted the previous Master’s honest word. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM! THEY DO NOT REFUND! NO MATTER WHAT IS PROMISED TO YOU!!
