Matthew did an excellent job cleaning our chimney then cleaning up after himself. He spent a few extra hours at my home than what he had planned but did not charge extra. The first thing Matt did when he arrived was check the moisture content of our wood. After that he taught us more than we thought there was to know about using our fireplace.He took before and after pictures and video of the flue, explained how the buildup that was there was formed, and pointed out issues we had with our chimney.Now our chimney is clean and in better shape than it has been in years. It breathes so much better now and we feel safe having fires again.We are so glad we hired Matt to clean and inspect our chimney. His prices are reasonable, and he knows what he is talking about. Great guy. Very thorough. Took pictures of some problem areas on roof flashing and brick chimney cap and shared recommendations. Ran a little late getting here, but understandable because he never knows what he is getting into. Spent extra time making sure our wood stove was spotless.

I left Matthew a voicemail last week on Thursday to schedule his chimney sweep service. He returned my call within two hours to discuss what I needed. On the next day he offered to come out on Monday and he followed up to confirmed the appointment.He arrived today with Brad, right on time, and provided excellent service. Both guys were diligent and respectful, and they got right to work. They checked the quality of my firewood, made recommendations on the flashing on my roof, cleaned my chimney and my wood stove with no mess, no fuss, and did an upgrade to my clean out cap. I could not be happier with Matthew and Brad's service. It took only four days from me reaching out until the service was complete.I'm so glad I found him after my previous attempt to arrange service from Affordable Chimney Sweep three weeks ago. Initially I spoke with an AI assistant who scheduled me for 4:00 that same day. What is it they say about to good to be true?Gavin, with affordable chimney sweep called me within a couple of hours and explained that his AI service was not working properly. That's fine, I get it. He said he could probably perform my service in three or four weeks. Ok, so far so good. He asked that I text him with my address and that he would reply that evening to confirm that I was on his schedule. C r i c k e t s.I called several times after that, more C r i c k e t s. I never did hear back from him after three weeks elapsed time. I understand that people get busy, BUT, I do not appreciate someone else wasting my time with that kind of disrespectful unprofessional nonsense.Anyway, so glad that I found Matthew and his partner Brad!
