My daughter started with no swim experience and in one session she goes under water with confidence, can swim a bit, and float for short periods of time.

We started swim lessons because we have pond in our backyard. My oldest two girls learned to swim through Michael Phelps Swim School and now compete with the Velocity swim club and in the Newman Swim League. My youngest daughter is still in lessons and doing well. They teach kids to swim with proper mechanics so they can go on to swim competitively. I highly recommend.
