I finally remembered the guide and made appointments with both places, Gomez and Allied. Gomez was first and I met with Eduardo. He was professional and charming and based on quotes I’d already received, it seemed like a fair price, so I accepted the bid. I immediately called Allied and cancelled my appointment for 6/24 because I had said yes and shook his hand and that felt unethical. On 6/28 I asked Eduardo directly about scheduling. He said I would be notified by email. On 7/1. I contacted him again and said that I needed this job to be done by the 15th. He said it would be on Monday July 8. I called the office on Friday 7/5 instead of Eduardo directly to confirm, and Michelle indicated that my job was not scheduled, it was not on anybody’s radar, and he was on vacation!!!! It couldn’t have happened on the 8th anyway because of the hurricane, but the point is for about three weeks this company has completely left me and my project HANGING! I don’t know how they can conduct themselves this way and still maintain a five star rating. I am going to contact the rating people directly and share this experience. That doesn't really make sense so I believe what he was trying to do is "call me a liar". I also saw he was about to climb over my already leaning fence so I told him not to, he then immediately proceeded to climb said fence. Thankfully it did not break. I told him something to the effect of "Dude, I just said don't climb the fence." And then when he left my property....you guessed it, he climbed over the same fence. If you have to use them(which I would not recommend), I suggest taking them around your property and record everything that is in the vicinity of of the tree. They will not take responsibility for their actions otherwise. And who knows if they would even then? You might consider informing your neighbors to do the same if their property is nearby. No respect for others.(Maybe if he expects payment from you....maybe?) Less

The first time we hired Mr. Gomez and his crew to trim our live oaks and re-sod the front yard after we moved in September 2018. He came out for the estimate, we scheduled and everything went smoothly, his pricing is fair and quality of the work was very good. Here is when I was disappointed after calling a year later to schedule the backyard and boulevard to be re-sodded in September 2019. Michelle explained when I called multiple times that the crews were very busy this time of the year and he couldn’t get out yet to do the estimate. We ended up waiting until February to call back and see if they had availability. Michelle was surprised when I said I had never heard back from Mr. Gomez last fall. He then called me and claimed he had come out to the house for the estimate and I had never returned his call (?) Anyway, we scheduled the sod install and a crew showed up. We were charged for topsoil that was never brought in, and much of the sod was laid unevenly. Mr.Gomez claimed there was topsoil but I was witness to the crew the entire day. When I asked about the charge regarding it he said they “could bring some” the next week. How is that possible without relaying the sod or just putting it on top? I told him don’t worry about it, but not very satisfied with the end product. I take great pride in my yard and it is taking a lot of work to get it how I want it to look. Less
