Mr. Gomez took care of a problem with our beautiful front yard Shumard oak, which had been damaged by squirrels eating around the bark of one of the large branches, causing the top part of the tree to die. This company provided outstanding professional service cutting down our trees. They are fully insured and show proof of insurance with their quote. They are fast, reliable and each worker and supervisor were easy to work with. They cleaned up our yard afterwards so well, you wouldn’t know they were here the day before. 2nd year now using Gomez to trim our large front yard oak. They arrive on time and do a great, professional job. Using their bucket truck makes for a very safe operation and they can reach branches that would be impossible without it. When they leave, the yard and street are cleaner than when they got here. There are no words other than AWESOME!!They came highly recommended by a dear friend…I had 2 trees…one close to the house, a large ash tree they cut it into firewood and stacked for me…and a pine tree close to a power pole…they cut it at the ground and laid it on my driveway between the power pole and my huge oak tree!!!Antonio the job supervisor went above and beyond for me and made my day!! Gomez Tree & Landscaping just completed a major multi-part project to make my backyard in Sharpstown safe and secure for me and my beloved dogs — two Huskies and a hound who are prodigious diggers.The most ambitious and genuinely innovative part of the project was to secure the backyard so that my dogs could no longer dig beneath my recently-installed chain link fence. Eduardo Gomez custom-tailored a comprehensive plan to trench along the fence perimeter to install 2-foot rigid root barriers, each piece of which was secured to the bottom of the chain link by bolts and nuts to a much smaller sleeve, cut from the same rigid material, on the opposite side. The finished barrier should last decades, and after a few ambitious attempts, my dogs have given up on trying to dig beneath it.To solve the perpetual drainage problem that caused a mudpit in my sideyard, Gomez Tree & Landscaping also designed and installed a limestone rock bed with embedded 2-foot square footpads.And finally, crew supervisor Antonio recommended and supervised removal of two trees and trimming of a number of large branches from other backyard trees, protecting my own and a neighbor's roofs from the damage that would result if those limbs had fallen during an upcoming hurricane season.There was no upselling or upcharging, and the final cost exactly matched the written estimates. The work was done quickly but very safely, by workers who were obviously experienced with excellent teamwork.None of this was cheap, but it was all done efficiently and professionally. I'm well pleased with the result.
