What a gem of a place! Good food, but the friendly service put it over the top.We ordered a few appetizers and the chicken shawarma entree. Here’s what i think:Appetizers: get the pita dip and make it a trio. I can recommend hummus, baba ghanoush and labneh. This gives you three distinct flavors and a side of pita for dipping. I also recommend getting the cauliflower florets to dip in your trio. And if you are deciding between the broccoli and the cauliflower, I would say get the cauliflower. I also got a side of falafel (two balls) to dip.(They don’t have a sampler platter, so this was my solution.)The chicken shawarma plate is delicious and is a really good sized portion. The chicken was tender and flavorful and paired well with the rice, salad and hummus it’s served with. You are given three sauces on the side too! Which is a nice touch. Tzatziki, tahini, and garlic paste. Use the garlic paste with caution! It’s fresh! My only note is that the pita is thin, rather than soft and pillowy. So if you really like a good pillowy pita, this might not scratch that itch. But it didn’t stop us from getting an extra side of pita for our leftovers ;)A gentleman served us, and I regret not getting his name because he was phenomenal. He took the time to offer us recommendations, he was observant without hovering, and everyone was just really friendly and genuine. The restaurant offers two menus, one for Angelo’s, an italian restaurant, and a separate menu for Najwa’s. Which is nice if you and your friend/partner want different things.Overall it was a great lunch and we plan on going back to try more things.
