When my family had young ones he would be sure to give them mints at the old location. He sat us tonight and always has a bright smile and recognizes my family immediately.I got the taco and enchilada rice and been combo and will be getting that again!!At the end of the night the little ones were given permission to put the sombreros on 🥰🤭. They were SO happy and ecstatic to do so!!( I understand that it was a crazy busy Friday night just want to make note that the meat was pink and I’m pretty sure I heard a “MOO” in the distance. While I haven't tried more than about 50% of their dishes, I can say I have never had a bad meal there. Lately I have graduated to some of the dishes available (spicy). Tortillas are supplied with both dishes. The waiters will ask if you really want the spicy version, and I can attest it is at my current limit of heat. They have the standard issue production hot sauces if you want to spice up your food, but they also have some house hot sauce that you can ask for. It is probably authentic and red-brown in color with lots of pepper seeds and it has an unusual flavor. I am personally not a big fan, but it is a flavor that might grow on you. My wife tends toward the less spicy dishes with green sauce like Pechuga Monterey, which also has grilled vegetables. During COVID we did carryout, which was similarly good. Salads were OK, but seemed to lack fresh tomatoes even in summer and would arrive with sour cream as dressing, unless you asked for something specific. We like the interior tables and chairs that have colorful 3D scenes under glass tabletops. It is nice they have a small outdoor area for dining, but it would have been much better located toward the rear of the building, which overlooks a bike trail and natural deep ravine, rather than adjacent to the parking lot. Food quantity is generous and I get from 1-3 additional meals as leftovers. We also love their salsa and often buy a quart container for carryout with a bag of their homemade chips, to munch on with our leftovers the next day or two. Less

I have been coming to La Pinata since I was roughly 10. I (and my immediate family) have noticed a consistent decline in the quality of service by the waiters. They simply not as charismatic and diligent as they have been in the past. My real complaint towards this individual location is that as we sit out on the patio to eat our dinner, a group of 10 sat down to eat as well. They consistently used extremely foul language in front of multiple families with small children. This group was also opening vulgar regarding many facets of their life, which quite honestly was incredibly inappropriate given the immediate crowd. As they conducted a conversation regarding how great their recent "kush" purchase was, and subsequently one of the members of this party pulled out a joint and started smoking marijuana there on their back patio. As I was sitting watching this unfold, no waiter, busboy, waitress, hostess or manager made any requests to these customer's to maintain the family friendly environment that used to expected here.
