My kiddos have been here 3 times and this was my first time with them. The entire staff that was there on Saturday was so sweet to us. I have a little boy who is on the spectrum and they allowed me to hold him the entire time and they allowed my mom to hold my other little boy. It was so much easier than I expected. Things like this never get easier when a little one is special needs because you never know what the outcome will be. We have had to leave places. But everyone was so gentle and kind and accommodating to us. I really appreciate the girls that were there. Thank you. It makes a special needs mama feel better about public outings

As the mom of an autistic son, haircut day is something I start worrying about a week in advance. The sound of the clippers, even the scissors, can be incredibly overwhelming for him. It’s an experience that has always been stressful and emotional ordeal for everyone involved.Today, Demarcus was the one who cut my son’s hair, and I can honestly say he was a Godsend.He first offered to try cutting my sons hair while he sat by himself in the barber chair. We were hopeful, but my son quickly hopped right back onto me like a little spider monkey. So we went back to our usual routine. I wrapped him in a blanket, held his legs between mine, and his dad gently held his head while Demarcus worked.What stood out most was Demarcus’s patience. He was calm, soft-spoken, and never once seemed frustrated or rushed. He made Madden feel safe. I truly believe he would have stayed there for five hours if that’s what it took.About halfway through, something amazing happened. Madden slowly released his “Hulk grip,” and the alligator tears began to stop. By the end, he was watching his favorite TV show. He still whimpered a little, but he allowed Demarcus to finish cutting and even use the clippers. I was honestly shocked and so incredibly impressed.If you’re a parent of a child with sensory sensitivities or autism, I can’t recommend Demarcus enough. His kindness, patience, and understanding made what is usually a traumatic experience so much easier for our son. We will absolutely be back, and from now on, we’ll always schedule with Demarcus. BTW we went with the Mullet and his therapists at the autism center went wild ! They all loved it ! Even though my son can’t talk fully yet …he had a shy smile and I know he loved the compliments.Thank you for treating our son with such compassion. It meant more to me than you will ever know .

Sharky's is one of the most amazing places I've ever seen with children. We used to go to cookie cutters but sharky's has a way with children that is absolutely impeccable. Joanne is kind and very patient. If you have a child that's finicky or scared of a haircut this is your place come.Came back for another round. Demarcus is amazing! Demarcus cut our son's hair tonight for his first haircut. He did an excellent job! Hair looks amazing, even though our 7 month old was crying and moving for a majority of the cut. Demarcus was professional, kind, and compassionate. We will be coming back for sure!

Absolutely huge shout out to this place and specifically Demarcus (I'm sorry if i'm spelling your name wrong!). I walked in last night, fairly late, and he was more than happy to cut my two boys' hair and he did a phenomenal job. He was super meticulous with both boys and the end results were beyond our expectations. We are extremely happy with the way our boys' hair turned out. Thank you for staying later than you should have! We will definitely be back.

Hannah always does a great job on my toddlers hair even when he can be a little difficult. She is professional, patient, gentle, and asks questions to make sure she does exactly what you are looking for. Is it a little pricey? Yes, but I would rather pay a little more to get someone who is accustomed to cutting wiggly kids hair and it still look great at the end.

Went yesterday for our second time and still had an amazing experience. We got there 40 minutes early ( my son didn’t nap in the car as planned ) and I was going to leave and walk around if my son got antsy and come butBut we were allowed to wait, the owner was super attentive to us and sweet.We had Hannah and she was SO SO good. She asked me each time before going shorter and got the exact length I wanted. My son was also moving so much in the seat by the end and the way she could still cut and maneuver was insanely good lolShe directed him so professional and sweet to get him to look down and up. I was so impressed. Her body language was so calming.I will continue to go back and book with her! Management should be very proud of having her on staff
