The perfect place to learn how to dance salsa is here at Timba Tumbao. When I was looking for a place to take classes, a friend of mine from Houston recommended me this place, and he wasn’t wrong. I like the positive and clear way that Johan and Alyssa teach. The energy and enthusiasm in class are the atmosphere I need at the end of the day. I have been going there for almost 4 months and I am planning to keep going.

I decided I wanted to take salsa classes, and I had two criteria: I wanted a progressive program where each class builds on the last, and I wanted to learn proper technique from the start. Johan & Alyssa's classes deliver both! Instead of repeating the same material each week, you continuously build on what you've learned, making steady progress while developing a strong technical foundation.

A friend recommended this studio to me because he said that the instructors go deep into the theory of all the movements, and he was right. The lessons are really well-planned, and there's a good balance of learning fundamentals/elements and incorporating them into combos.It also feels like they do a great job of encouraging people to move to the next level ONLY when they're ready for it, which keeps classes at a good pace.Lastly, the classes are just fun. The lesson room is also really spacious, which is great because there are usually a lot of people.

Johan and Alyssa make you feel really comfortable learning. They are very good at explaining and breaking down the steps plus Johans jokes a really funny. You’ll have fun learning and meeting new people.
