My experience with Lifetime Garage was a mix of positives and negatives. The technicians came out to replace a broken garage door spring. They were courteous and professional throughout the visit. After replacing the spring, however, they had trouble getting my garage door to close completely. It took quite a bit of time before they were able to get it to close. It still wasn’t closing perfectly flush with the ground, but they told me the issue might be with my garage door opener motor and that it may need to be replaced. Since the door was closing well enough at that point, I decided to leave it as is.The repair was also quite expensive—more than I would have liked to pay—but I paid it because I needed my garage door repaired. What really disappointed me happened after the repair. I provided my information and paid for the service, but I never received a receipt. I’ve been waiting for it, and that’s frustrating after paying for the work. The biggest issue, though, was that one of the technicians asked to use my phone. He told me he was going to show me how to leave a review, but instead he wrote and submitted a review himself that did not reflect my own words or opinion. I found that to be very unprofessional and inappropriate. The repair was completed, but the lack of a receipt, the unauthorized review that was submitted from my phone, and the overall handling of the situation left me with a poor impression. I hope the company addresses these issues because they have the potential to overshadow otherwise professional service.
