Made very welcome by Corrine and was slotted into an appropriate lane. The session was very varied which made the time fly past.

Do3 swimming at Compton Verney is a beautiful location. Its a large lake, and I did feel a little out of my depth at first, as most people there seemed much more experienced, and there for training, and its definitely an ideal spot if your wanting to swim for fitness. That said the team were very welcoming of beginners, and were on hand to provide lots of advice and support if needed. There's also no pressure to swim faster, if you want a more leisurely swim, or to bob around with the tow float which I did. Its a well run and organised event, and there are plenty of people on hand, inc. lifeguards which helped to put me at ease - its particularly reassuring if your new to open water swimming. The homemade cakes (esp the choice of gluten free ones) and tea at the end was a great way to finish the swim too!

I was visiting family nearby and found this group when looking for open water swimming.Beautiful location, well organised with good water safety should you need it.A mix of casual breaststokers and faster freestyle swimmers, I felt comfortable doing my own thing in the water and highly recommend for both leisure swimmers and triathletes.
