My appointment at The Functional Gut Clinic in Manchester was really positive. The clinic is extremely clean & quiet.I went for the Trio Smart breath test & had a very lovely clinician called Liz, who really looked after me so well & took the time to explain everything & answer all my questions & even brought me something to keep my CRPS limb warm & comfortable!I never felt rushed in any way & have to say, as someone with a lot of health issues i was quite anxious, however, Liz had such a natural, calming & warm nature, yet still professional & that balance Liz portrays, so effortlessly, was very reassuring. So I wanted to say a big thank you to Liz!!In fact everyone i spoke with over the phone & came into contact with on the day i found very lovely. The whole process from start to finish felt seamless ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My son was referred to the functional gut clinic for a Hydrogen and Methane Breath test. I was not the patient but helped him with the booking process. The Clinic is very busy and I spoke to several admin staff to understand the test and preparation before it. Of all the staff I spoke I would particularly like to thank Janice and Shae for the five star service they provided explaining and booking this long test.

I’ve been bringing my daughter to the Functional Gut clinic in Cambridge for several months to take part in a variety of tests - something we could not get on the NHS. Some of these tests are not the most pleasant to have done, but I cannot fault the care Georgina, Steph and all the team have shown her throughout. Everything was carried out at her pace and she felt reassured and in control the whole way through. Reports were returned to my daughter’s consultant (and shared with us via email) incredibly promptly too. This meant her care was able to continue at pace until we finally reached a diagnosis. Although Cambridge is several hours drive from us, some of the tests can be carried out at home, or completed at home and returned by post. This made it a very practical choice of clinic for us.Thank you for your exemplary care you have shown my daughter. I can highly recommend this clinic.

I had a manometry test and 24 hour reflux test with the functional gut clinic. I was put at ease and everything was explained really well. The procedures weren’t painful, just a little uncomfortable. I was checked throughout to make sure I was ok. The instructions to take the reflux device were very clear and I had an opportunity to ask questions. The staff were all very pleasant, professional and caring.

I was apprehensive about the oesophagus manometry and 24 hs pH monitoring at the beginning but at the clinic Georgina was very reassuring and the whole process was faster than I thought , and painless. They make all the process very easy for the patient. I found the Cambridge clinic easy to access if you travel by train ( station near by) or by car as there are plenty of parking options near by.

Essential service for Ireland where there is.no or little functional testing. I have a progressive genetic disorder with complex GI dysmotility and have needed a lot of work up and surgeries , I would not have been able to get the work up needed for treatment without this clinic. Dr Mark Scott and the rest of the staff are kind and professional.For those experiencing difficulty getting through via a call I've never had issues contacting them abroad via their email.Thank you again FGC.
