After finishing the summer holidays and preparing to go back to work teaching, I spent time planning and making sure I was ready for another year in the classroom. While looking back at some photos from my break, I realised d I wasn’t in the physical shape I thought I was. Did it bother me? A little. But what was I going to do about it? I wasn’t really sure. Then I came across a post about Fitribe and thought, maybe this could work. Initially, I had a couple of phone conversations to see if I was ready to commit. There was no pressure to sign up—Fitribe genuinely wanted to make sure I was prepared to do my part while they supported me with what I needed. I started the program at the beginning of the term, and now, nearly ten weeks in, I’ve gone all in. Fitribe, along with my coach Paige, has provided me with the tools, feedback and encouragement to make real progress. Being able to message my coach daily and receive personalised replies has been a game-changer. I’m not even halfway through the program yet, but I’ve already lost weight, I’m getting stronger in the gym, my nutrition has become a priority and I’m focusing more on quality sleep. People don’t usually say, “You look like you’ve put on weight,” but since starting Fitribe, I’ve had plenty of people comment, “You look like you’ve lost weight!” That kind of feedback fuels your motivation and drive.
